Deep learning was first put forward by American scholars Ference Marton and Roger Saljo in 1976.They believed that deep learning is a learning method that focuses on understanding text and paying attention to connection.In 2004,the American Association for Educational Communication and Technology(AECT)highlighted the idea of deep learning.In 2004,Professor Li Jiahou of China introduced the concept of deep learning for the first time and explained it.Deep learning emphasizes students engaged in learning,migration of integration of learning content,learning to use,etc,and this has such characters as founding,integration,migration ability of Chinese core literacy is fit,thus can deep learning from teaching goal,teaching content,teaching process to improve the quality of Chinese teaching,the current development of students’ literacy to provide theoretical support and core path guidance.The teaching of ancient poetry is an important part of Chinese teaching.Students’ learning of ancient poetry is conducive to feeling the language charm of simplicity,meaning and abundance,deepening their recognition of traditional Chinese culture and enhancing their cultural confidence.At present,teachers focus on the training of students’ exam-taking ability in ancient poetry class,with too much explanation and less self-awareness of students,which is not conducive to understanding and absorbing the multiple values of ancient poetry and the development of students’ core Chinese literacy.Therefore,the integration of deep learning into the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high schools is conducive to teachers fully respecting students’ dominant position and giving students more opportunities for self-perception.It is helpful for teachers to attach importance to the integration of the knowledge system of ancient poetry and pay attention to the multiple values of ancient poetry,such as language value,thinking value,aesthetic value and cultural value,so as to develop students’ core Chinese literacy and improve their learning quality and life realm.In order to have a more in-depth and detailed understanding of the current teaching status of ancient poetry and put forward optimization suggestions based on the theory of deep learning,an in-depth investigation was conducted on the teaching situation of eighth grade teachers and the learning situation of students in M School in Jinan City,Shandong Province.Two methods of investigation and observation are used.The survey method is divided into two parts.All the eighth grade Chinese teachers were interviewed.The interview content includes teachers’ teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching methods and teaching models,teaching evaluation,etc.At the same time,Grade 8 students were randomly selected to conduct a questionnaire survey,which mainly included students’ learning interest and motivation,learning methods and learning ability,etc.At the same time,from September to November in 2020,the eighth grade Chinese teachers were observed in the teaching of ancient poetry,which mainly included the implementation of teaching objectives,the use of teaching methods,the explanation of teaching contents,teacher-student interaction,teaching effects and practical activities.The survey found that the teaching of ancient poetry in grade 8 of M school has made some achievements,but there are also some problems.For example,teaching attaches great importance to cultivating students’ test-taking ability,which weakens the implementation of higher-order thinking.The teaching content is relatively scattered,the teaching process needs to be innovated,the teaching evaluation has deviation and so on.Based on this,this paper analyzes the causes of problems in the teaching of ancient poetry from three aspects:ancient poetry itself,external environment and teachers.Aiming at the existing problems and combining the characteristics of deep learning and ancient poetry,this paper puts forward teaching strategies to promote students’ deep learning of ancient poetry from five aspects,including teachers’ own qualities,teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching process and teaching evaluation.Finally,the study takes two poems of Five Tang Poems from the third unit of Volume 1 of Grade 8 as texts,namely "The Enemies to the Bed" and "Spring Trip to Qiantang Lake",and carries out teaching design to promote students’ deep learning of ancient poetry,which provides reference for teachers to promote students’ deep learning of ancient poetry.
