Research On Technological Progress, Population Mobility And Industrial Structure Upgrading In Northeast China

From the data in recent years,we can see that the overall situation and development trend of the northeast economy is not optimistic,and the economic growth rate in the national ranking is also out of the downstream level.Therefore,the economic development of Northeast China has attracted the attention and discussion of many scholars in the society.Previous studies have shown that the upgrading of industrial structure can maintain the stable development of economy.Therefore,the northeast region is in urgent need of industrial transformation and begins to look for new impetus to promote economic development.From the perspective of industrial structure,we can see that compared with other developed provinces and cities,there are still many problems in the industrial structure of Northeast China,such as the high proportion of traditional agriculture and heavy industry,the low proportion of the tertiary industry,and the unreasonable internal structure of the industry,which restrict the industrial transformation of Northeast China.Therefore,as the economic growth rate of Northeast China gradually slows down,the industrial development mode that used to rely on cheap labor has been unable to achieve sustainable development,and the industrial structure is in urgent need of adjustment and transformation.Sufficient labor force is also an important guarantee for the upgrading of industrial structure.However,with the development of time,the population flow in Northeast China gradually tends to flow out.In this case,Northeast China has fallen into a vicious circle of population economy,which is characterized by the aggravation of population aging and the decrease of labor force,which has a great impact on the economy of Northeast China and hinders the economic development,And it will also cause many social problems because of the economic downturn.The northeast region urgently needs to find the power to promote the upgrading of industrial structure and stabilize the economic development under the background of the continuous outflow of population.It can be seen from literature that economists have studied the relationship between technological progress,industrial structure upgrading and economic growth for a long time.The conclusion is that improving the level of technological progress can promote the upgrading of industrial structure and economic growth to a certain extent,and China’s policy-making also has clear requirements,that is,to take innovation as the foothold of development,So that technological progress can stimulate economic development,so that the economy can develop better and faster.This paper first introduces the current situation of technological progress,population flow and industrial structure in Northeast China,and then makes a theoretical analysis and elaboration on the influence mechanism and action mechanism of the three.This paper first makes a stationary test and Hausman test on the inter provincial panel data of the three provinces in Northeast China from 2000 to2018,obtains the test results,and then selects the fixed effect model for regression analysis.The conclusion is: after controlling the fixed asset investment,the elderly dependency ratio,urbanization and other variables that may have an impact on the upgrading of industrial structure,through the empirical analysis of the regression model,it is concluded that: the population flow in Northeast China has a significant impact on the upgrading of industrial structure,it will inhibit the upgrading of industrial structure in Northeast China;the technological progress in Northeast China has a significant impact on the upgrading of industrial structure Structural upgrading has no obvious effect,and the result is not significant.Finally,based on the main conclusions of the above research,this paper puts forward the following suggestions:the governments of the three provinces in Northeast China can maintain a positive attitude,should comply with the problem of population loss caused by population mobility,grasp the new development opportunities brought by the aging population,and further improve the scale and level of technological progress,and improve the third level The proportion of the three industries should be increased to optimize and upgrade the industrial structure of Northeast China and promote the rapid economic development.
