Research On The Influence Of Population Mobility On Industrial Structure Upgrade

Since the reform and opening up,China’s urbanization has gradually developed,and the scale of population flow and migration has gradually expanded.According to the data of the seventh census,China has a total population of 1.412 billion and a floating population of 376 million,accounting for 26.6% of the total population.Many cities in China,such as Shanghai,Hangzhou,Xi’an and Chengdu,have introduced relevant preferential policies to attract talents.At the same time,China’s economic development has made great achievements and its industrial structure has been constantly upgraded.China’s overall industrial structure has changed from "dominated by the secondary industry" to "dominated by the tertiary industry" in2013.However,under the background of social transformation in China,if we want to continue to promote and stabilize the quality development of our economy,China is still facing the major task of strategic adjustment of industrial structure.From the theoretical point of view,this paper studies the impact of population mobility on industrial structure from the perspective of human capital and technological progress,and creatively constructs a more comprehensive and comprehensive industrial structure upgrading system with multiple indicators.In terms of practical significance,this study not only contributes to the coordinated development of regional economy,but also helps to improve the rationality of China’s population flow policy and optimize the allocation of human capital to better match the industrial structure.Through the empirical analysis of the ordinary panel model,this paper concludes that population mobility can promote the upgrading of industrial structure.At the same time,it studies the role of population mobility in the upgrading of industrial structure from the perspective of the intermediary effect of human capital and technological progress.Through the intermediary utility model,the empirical analysis results show that the intermediary effect of the two does exist,that is to say,The promotion of population flow to the upgrading of industrial structure can be realized through human capital and technological progress.The innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of industrial structure upgrading from a more comprehensive and comprehensive perspective.(2)This paper discusses the impact of population flow on industrial structure from the perspective of the intermediary effect of human capital and technological progress.
