Due to the geographical location,economic level,cultural differences and other factors,the development of education in my country’s ethnic minority areas is struggling,the education of ethnic minorities in our country has always been a shortcoming of our country’s education.The science education of ethnic minorities,especially the mathematics education of ethnic minorities,has been a stumbling block hindering the development of education in China for a long time.Scientific research results can provide theoretical support for the development of minority mathematics education.In order to understand the research status and hot frontiers of ethnic mathematics education,this article uses the literature analysis method to sort out and analyze the 1,165 documents related to ethnic mathematics education research included in the CNKI database since 1978-2018.Statistics,using the Citespace bibliometric software and the literature analysis function on the China National Knowledge Base database to visualize the data of the selected target literature,and obtain the overall literature distribution,keyword distribution,author distribution,research institution distribution,and distribution of ethnic mathematics education research.Research the distribution of ethnic groups,the distribution of research paradigms and research methods,and the distribution of highly cited documents.Through the high-frequency keywords analyzed by the Citespace software,five types of ethnic minority mathematics education hot topics are summarized,namely,ethnic literacy and ability research,ethnic mathematics teacher research,ethnic mathematics bilingual education research,ethnic mathematics culture research,and ethnic mathematics cross In cultural studies,a detailed overview of these 5 hot topics is given.Finally,it summarizes the topics that need to be further studied in the ethnic mathematics education,puts forward the strategies to solve the problems,and puts forward thoughts and suggestions on the future research direction of ethnic mathematics education in response to the background and development direction of the times.
