Bibliometrics And Visualization Analysis Of Chemical Education Research In Chinese Middle School(2010-2019)

With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,more and more teachers and researchers have joined in the research of middle school chemistry teaching,and the number of relevant literature and monographs has increased rapidly.At the same time,with the continuous development of network technology and literature electronization,a huge amount of scientific literature information has been collected in various databases.On the one hand,it provides a large number of references,various contents and complementary literature for researchers engaged in secondary chemical education;on the other hand,it also increases the difficulty for researchers to grasp the overall situation,research hotspot and research trend of the field in the vast ocean of scientific literature.In recent years,bibliometrics,which is based on bibliometrics,has been widely used in many fields,such as information management,medicine,agriculture,psychology,education,etc.Because it can objectively and effectively analyze and grasp the research frontier,current situation and hot spots in a certain field,and has played an important role.In this study,the author uses CNKI as the data source,Based on the four typical journals of chemistry in secondary education,namely,Chinese Journal of Chemical Education,Education In Chemistry,Teaching and Learning Reference for Middle School Chemistrys and Teaching and Learning of Chemistry,the research object is the literature of secondary chemical education published in four journals.According to the publication time,the collected and sorted literature can be divided into two periods: 2010-2014 and 2015-2019.The main research methods are bibliographic analysis,word frequency statistical analysis,coword analysis,cluster analysis and emergent analysis.By using Bicomb and CiteSpace software,statistics and visual analysis of the number,age distribution,source journals,publications and cooperation of scientific research institutions,publications and collaborations of authors,key words,etc.The author will clarify the development context of the current domestic middle school chemistry teaching and research field,explore the identity and group characteristics of the author team,summarize the future development trend and trend of secondary chemical education research.In order to provide some reference and basis for chemical teaching researchers to find new perspectives and ideas,and contribute a little to guide and improve the practical direction of chemical education research and improve the level of chemical teaching research.The study shows:(1)From 2010 to 2019,the number of literatures in China's middle school chemistry education research field has been on the rise,reaching a peak in 2014 and a trough in 2013.In the first five years(2010-2014),the number of published articles showed a zigzag trend of "descending-ascending-descendingascending",and the average annual number of published articles was 1,570.In the last five years(2015-2019),the number of published papers showed a straight decline,with the average annual number of published papers being 1,771,indicating that the research field of chemistry education in China's secondary schools has entered the middle and late stages of decelerating development in the last five years.(2)The reason is that there are many articles published in this journal which are not related to secondary chemistry education,such as chemistry education research of university chemistry majors and non-chemistry majors,vocational education and chemistry education research of graduate student training.(3)From 2010 to 2019,the institutions with a large number of publications mainly focus on university.Among the universities and research institutions,the Institute of Chemical Chemistry of Shaanxi Normal University,the Institute of Chemical Education of Central China Normal University,and the Institute of Chemistry of Beijing Normal University are far ahead in the number of publications,and are at the core of this field.Among the secondary schools,Bashu Middle School in Chongqing,Deqing High School in Zhejiang Province,Yuezhou Middle School in Zhejiang Province have far more papers than other schools and have a prominent position.(4)From 2010-2014 to 2015-2019,the number of basic articles published by core authors increased from 6 to 8,and the core authors were mainly in universities.From 2010 to 2019,among institutions of higher learning and research institutions,Wang houxiong of central China Normal University,Zhong Minghua of Hanshan Normal University,Wu Junming of Shanghai Normal University have published more papers than others,with outstanding performance and great influence.Among the secondary schools,Wu Wenzhong of Yuezhou Middle School in Zhejiang Province,Lu Yanhai of Deqing High School in Zhejiang Province,and Liu Huaile of Bashu Middle School in Chongqing have published more papers and have a prominent position.(5)From 2010 to 2014,the cooperative network density of research institutions and authors was 0.0028 and 0.0021 respectively.From 2015 to 2019,the cooperative network density of research institutions and authors was 0.0046 and 0.0026,respectively.Although there is an upward trend,the partnership is still not significant.(6)During the two periods of 2010-2014 and 2015-2019,different research hotspots and themes have emerged in the research field of chemistry education in China's middle schools."Experiment and experiment teaching","teaching design","classroom teaching","chemical concept" and "specific knowledge point teaching" all appeared in the two periods.The number of "examination and examination questions" related publications has decreased."Teaching methods and models" and "curriculum reform" have been paid more and more attention.(7)The prediction of research hotspot.the possible hot spots in the research field of chemistry education in China's middle schools include: One,the experimental innovation research domain,will be closely combined with the concept of curriculum standard requirements,with real problem situation as the background,explore the chemical experiment teaching,such as miniaturization,integration,digital Angle of experimental innovation,cultivate the students' innovation spirit and practice ability,promote the formation and development of chemical subject core literacy.Second,the research on chemistry teaching mode and teaching strategy will continue to be in-depth and accurate,such as the exploration and application of project-based learning.Third,it is the study of chemistry learning method and thinking process visualization.For example,the application of eye movement tracking and mind mapping in chemistry teaching.Fourth,researchers will pay close attention to the new changes in the new curriculum reform,such as the direction and limit of chemical reaction,isomer and other core concepts of teaching and research.Fifth,the development of chemistry course resources such as excellent examples and the practical research on the organic combination of online and offline learning methods.
