"Mathematics fun" is a new unit in mathematics textbook of Beijing Normal University after the Ministry of education has revised the new curriculum standard in 2011.This unit contains a variety of teaching contents,such as mathematical games,interesting mathematical problems,mathematical applications,and so on.Teachers have a positive attitude and attach great importance to this part.But there are still many problems in real teaching.Therefore,exploring the teaching strategy of "mathematics fun" is of great practical significance to enhance and improve the teaching of"mathematics fun" and to cultivate students' mathematics ability.This paper,through the investigation into the front-line teachers,knows the current"mathematics fun" teaching situation and finds out the common problems in the current teaching process,such as lack of time,lack of resources,ability need to be strengthened,difficulty of choosing teaching strategies,differences of students' development level and so on.By studying 12 volumes of "mathematics fun" teaching content,this paper straightens out the training points of mathematics subject ability corresponding to each chapter of teaching content,and presents them with tables and diagrams and then sums up the characteristics of "mathematics fun":teaching content is close to life and very comprehensive and this content pays attention to the cultivation of subject ability in the process of teaching and makes good use of a variety of learning methods.Combined with the daily teaching practice,this paper presents a teaching strategy of "mathematics fun"based on cultivating the ability of mathematics subject from three aspects:lesson preparation,class,homework assignments and after-school guidance.When preparing lessons,make accurate analysis and pursue effective teaching.In class,be student-oriented and build capacity growth platform.After class,be friends with mathematics and focus on ability training and so on.Also three teaching cases are written,"tessellation","Rules in Graphics" and "Knowledge in Packaging",to provide the basis for this paper.In recent 20 years of curriculum reform of basic education in China,through important documents such as subject curriculum standard and college entrance examination outline,the requirement of cultivating the core quality and core ability of subject under the background of new curriculum has been put forward.No matter it is a single discipline or different discipline fields,we should pay attention to the cultivation of students' core quality and discipline ability.In the process of studying the teaching strategy of "mathematics fun",this paper focuses on the achievement of four abilities of students:"arithmetic ability","spatial imagination ability","logical reasoning ability" and"problem solving ability".
