The Chinese language education in Thailand has been promoted to a great extent,and it is necessary to study the errors of and teaching strategies.The synonymous words with same morpheme are one of the key and difficult points for Thai students to learn,errors will inevitably occur when Thai students use them.This article selects the synonymous words containing the same morpheme in the Chinese textbooks(the seventh,eighth,and ninth volumes of Chinese)used by junior high school students and designs a questionnaire to collect students’ errors,investigate the students’ mastery of these synonyms,classify and analyze the errors from the vocabulary meaning and grammatical meaning.There are six types of errors in vocabulary meaning: the degree of the meaning of the word,the emphasis on the meaning of the word,the scope of the meaning,the object of the meaning,the color meaning of the word and the implicit meaning of the word;Four types of errors in grammatical meaning: mixed use of verb nouns、verb adjectives、adjective nouns、adjectives and adverbs.The reasons for the errors include Thai-English,Chinese-Thai language transfer,Chinese phonetic and semantic characteristics,negative learning strategies of students,improper teaching strategies,and poorly configured teaching materials.Aiming at the types and reasons of students’ errors,it is proposed that firstly,the principles for teaching synonyms should be established.According to the principles,four interrelated teaching methods for synonymous words and five practice methods should be explored.A teaching example is designed according to the teaching method of synonyms.The final conclusion part points out the innovations and shortcomings of the article.It is hoped that through the introduction of this article,Chinese teachers can better predict students’ errors and formulate reasonable teaching strategies.I also hope that Thai students can be inspired to reduce the occurrence of acquisition errors. |
