In senior high school chemistry learning, organic chemistry is an important part of chemistry, and the design of organic synthesis route is a required test in Jiangsu college entrance examination.Students generally think that it is difficult, and many students often have thinking obstacles when solving such problems. The purpose of this paper is to explore the types and causes of students' thinking obstacles in solving organic synthesis route design problems, and put forward effective strategies to help students overcome these obstacles and improve their problem-solving ability.Guided by the theory of problem solving stage, this study mainly discusses the problem of organic synthesis route design and the division of problem-solving process stage, including four stages: problem representation, seeking solution, trying to solve, and evaluation result, thus laying a foundation for exploring the types and causes of thinking obstacles in organic synthesis route design problem-solving.This study uses the methods of problem-solving test and interview between students and teachers to test the types of thinking obstacles existing in senior high school students' organic synthesis route design problem-solving,including dominant information deficiency thinking disorder, recessive information missing thinking obstacle, ineffective transformation thinking obstacle,one-sided thinking obstacle, weak executive ability thinking obstacle, and organization This paper discusses the reasons for the formation of the obstacles, including the imperfect cognitive structure, the weak ability of information interpretation, the poor flexibility of thinking, the lack of synthetic thinking strategies, and the weak awareness of monitoring and reflection. This paper discusses the teaching strategies to eliminate the students' thinking obstacles in solving the problems of organic synthesis route design, including the following strategies: improving the knowledge structure, cultivating the ability of information interpretation, enhancing the ability of thinking flexibility, paying attention to the guidance of synthesis strategies, and strengthening the awareness of monitoring and reflection.
