Development of information technology has provided a variety of approaches and abundant resources for online teaching. As one of the forms of online teaching, webcast teaching is a new teaching form, with its teaching interaction, timely feedback and other advantages by many teachers and students welcome. In the spring of 2020,the co VID-19 epidemic prevention and control led to the postponing of school term.In order to allow students not to delay the progress of learning due to the outbreak,in this special period, education departments around the rapid start of the use of network platforms to carry out live-streaming teaching model. The author's school actively launched a webcast teaching based on the Ding Talk platform,From senior third to senior second, then to senior one,try to improve the teaching mode and teaching method step by step.Since the school has never carried out online teaching related practice before, the teaching practice process and teaching effect need to be improved. This article is based on some researches on webcast teaching, combined with teaching practice to study the high school geography webcast teaching. This paper mainly adopts several methods, such as literature research method, questionnaire method, interview investigation method and case analysis method, and combines the teaching reflection and experience summary of the author's practice of live-streaming on the geographical network. The questionnaire method mainly investigates and studies the students' recognition of the high school geo-webcast teaching, the student's performance, homework and revision in the geography live course study, the effect of the webcast class, the comparison between the webcast class and the traditional classroom, the student's suggestion to the live webcast teaching, and the interview method mainly investigates the teacher's adaptation to the live-streaming platform, teaching methods and teaching length, teaching interaction, teaching feedback, evaluation and suggestion. The aim is to understand the application and implementation of the teaching of the geography teacher and the problems that arise, and the case analysis method uses the review course of the geography of the so-2nd region as an example to carry out the live network teaching,to observe the learning situation of the students to learn the geography live course, and to test and analyze the teaching effect of the regional geography live course. The conclusions of this study: Webcast teaching has its advantages over traditional classrooms, mainly manifested in: providing ways and resources for students to learn independently, which is conducive to students grasping the rhythm of independent learning, providing accurate teaching feedback and evaluation in a timely manner. However, the live network teaching process "teacher" and "student" is in different teaching space, due to the limitation of space barrier, live network teaching will produce a sense of space distance of learning, adversely affect students' independent learning,in addition, the supervision of students' independent learning is not in place, especially the students with poor self-control,resulting in poor final learning results, low knowledge mastery, resulting in "polarization" of student achievement results, indicating that the network broadcast teaching has its limitations and will not become the normal teaching in the future. We need to continue to seek and explore teaching models suitable for "Internet + education ".Due to the limited research ability of the author, there are still some deficiencies in this study.Based on the above-mentioned research, this paper puts forward the following suggestions for the practice of webcasting in geography teaching in high schools:(1)improving students' ability to learn independently.Teachers should clarify learning tasks and consciously guide students to learn independently;(2)Schools build an Internet environment. In order to meet the requirements of information education and the new curriculum standards,Schools should speed up campus Internet coverage;(3)Improvements in teaching patterns.Aiming at the limitations of webcast teaching,we can explore the combination of offline teaching and try to build blended teaching model;(4)The design and improvement of the live broadcast platform. The live broadcast platform should be designed and improved interms of supervision of students, online assignment and review of homework, and teaching and practice activities of special subjects.
