Maths plays a very importat part in China's system of educational curriculum,on which students spend too much time and energy.As soon as students begin their study in Senior High School,most of them will find it very difficult to learn maths well.Maths in Senior High School differs from that in Junior High School.We are supposed to realise the differences and find out efficient solutions.Lots of studies have shown that it is of great importance for students to do a good job in the connection between maths in Junior High School and that in Senior High school.Acoording to my 7 years' teaching practice,I find students are always confused at maths study when entering Senior High School.As a teacher,I must find ways to improve the situation.Therefore,it is necessary to do a study on the connection between maths in Junior High School and that in Senior High school.First,this article states the theoretical basis by referring to documents.Then,make Interviews and questionnaires among some teachers and students to find out the reasons for students' failure in adapting to the maths study of Senior High School.Finally,I will give some useful advice and solutions to this problem based on my study,hoping it can contribute to the maths teaching in grade 1 of Senior High School.Teaching activity consists of teaching material,teachers and students.So my study will be done from these three aspects.First,the content of maths textbooks for junior and senior schools is incoherent or even disjointed in knowledge.Moreover,the contents of maths courses for senior schools are more difficult,and the content arrangement of the textbooks is less interesting.Considering these factors,the author put forward that senior school teachers should adapt teaching contents based on students' learning condition.Exactly,teachers can begin with the contents students are familiar with and increase the capacity of each class gradually.Meanwhile,add knowledge that Junior High School doesn't require students to master but will be used in senior study.Second,students' attitude to study and learning habbits can have a big influence on the efficiency of teaching activity.Students must learn actively and develop good learning habits to adapt to the study of maths in Senior High School.Third,the teaching behavior of teachers will directly affect the development of cohesive teaching.So at the beginning of Senior High School,teachers should not only teach the content of the textbook,but also focus on the students' learning condition,urge the students to form good learning habits and give guidance in learning methods in order to let students adapt to the Senior High School maths learning as soon as possible.At the same time,try to create a relaxing and happy learning environment to make students willing to learn.
