With the in-depth development and wide application of modern educational technology and multimedia teaching in the high school classroom,PPT courseware has become an important teaching tool for teachers.What's more,high school Chinese teaching has been increasingly integrated with PPT courseware.In the course of high school Chinese teaching,many traditional PPT coursewares designed by teachers only use the form of plain text to display the content of the course,which can easily lead students to lose interest in learning.The images and abstract meanings transmitted by ancient poetry,prose,and classical Chinese in senior high school Chinese courses are also difficult to be understood by students through language and words alone.Therefore,this study introduced multi-modal PPT into high school Chinese classroom teaching guided by the theory of multimodal discourse analysis.Based on this,it designed high-school Chinese multi-modal PPT combined with its organic fusion of multi-modal such as text,pictures,graphics,animation,audio and video,etc.The integrated teaching advantage can help students understand high school Chinese content more efficiently as well as improve their learning results.This paper focuses on the design and application of high school Chinese multi-modal PPT.First,the related design and application methods of multi-modal PPT could be clarified by analyzing the related literature and basic theory related to multi-modal PPT.Secondly,by means of questionnaire surveys,interviews,and analysis of PPT courseware samples,a survey on the status of Chinese PPT teaching could be completed relying on researcher's internship experience in Beijing G High School,which discovered that PPT Courseware had become an important teaching tool for Chinese teachers in G High School.However,teachers also have problems in PPT design and application,such as single modal selection of PPT,monotonous page design and deficiency of scientific methods in the design and application process.In the process of the research,teachers and students also provided many suggestions and opinions for the design and application of the multi-modal PPT.The design and application of high school Chinese multi-modal PPT was carried out in G High School on the basis of investigation and research,this study combined with multi-modal discourse analysis,social semiotics,visual communication and other related theoretical guidance.The research explores the design methods of highschool Chinese multi-modal PPT in terms of text type,course content,modal coordination,visual communication,etc.In the process of classroom instruction,with the assistance of Chinese teacher Z of G High School,5 multi-modal PPT independently designed were applied for 10 hours in two classes in the first grade,and the classroom observation method and interview method were used to record and summarize the classroom application effects of multi-modal PPT.Finally,on the basis of integrating multiple design and application experiences,this study summarized the design methods,design and application principles of multi-modal PPT,forming a more systematic and complete high school Chinese multi-modal PPT design methods and principles combined with classroom application practice,which further put forward the application strategies of high school Chinese multi-modal PPT.
