"Carbon and Carbon Compounds" is an important part of the study of elemental compounds in junior high schools.Learning the properties,uses,and transformation relations of carbon and carbon oxides paves the way for the subsequent study of combustion and fire extinguishing,the properties of metals,acids,alkalis,and salts,and the study of inorganic chemistry in senior high schools.However,there are many material properties in this chapter,the transformation relationship is relatively complex,and the experimental equipment is flexible and changeable.However,junior high school students' information processing ability is not mature,and their comprehensive application ability is lacking,so it is difficult to learn,and there is obvious learning differentiation after the new teaching.Once differentiation occurs,it will affect the subsequent chemistry learning and interfere with students' learning interest and learning effect.Therefore,it is meaningful to study the differentiation of ninth-grade students in the knowledge points of "carbon and carbon oxides" and the law of differentiation.In this study,102 students of Grade 9 in a middle school in Bishan District,Chongqing City were taken as research samples,and the sample students were divided into top students,middle students,and underachievers.The "carbon and carbon oxides" were taken as the research object,and the research was carried out by the pre-and post-test method.The test papers before and after design are studied and analyzed.This thesis reveals the differentiation phenomenon of students with different academic levels when learning "carbon and carbon oxides".The corresponding targeted teaching methods in the later period are formulated according to the feedback of different learning situations of students with different academic levels,combined with the characteristics of differentiation,and the operable teaching strategies are put forward to reduce differentiation,specifically including four aspects: paper-based basic content,image transformation relationship,clear experimental equipment,and programmed calculation problems.The results show that the average score rate of all students has increased and the degree of differentiation has decreased through effective targeted teaching,among which the improvement effect of middle-aged students and underachievers is the most obvious.
