Application Of Life Review In Improving The Meaning Of Life In Patients With Advanced Cancer

Due to the torture of the disease,patients with advanced cancer face painful and helpless physical,mental,psychological,and social crises at the end of their lives.Life review interventions provide dying patients with an opportunity to review their past experiences,promote them to face and pay attention to past contradictions and conflicts,and fully accept themselves or their beautiful or regretful lives,realize the meaning of life,find a sense of self-existence,and Eventually achieve harmony in the physical,psychological,spiritual,and social levels.This study takes patients with advanced cancer as the research object,from the perspective of social work,comprehensively analyzes the performance of the low sense of life in the advanced stage of cancer patients,including the unbearable pain,low self-identity caused by cancer,and uncertainty about the future And the fear of death;try to use the life review method to provide services for them,and provide reliable support and deep care for advanced cancer patients.In this study,when using the life review method,the author not only drew on the traditional age-based stage review method,but also paid attention to and responded to the patients' deep-seated needs for apology at the end of life.In the patient's narration,it is extended to guide them to complete the tasks of the four lives,and to provide the patients and their families with opportunities to express their feelings and increase family affection.This research also analyzes the adaptive strategies in the practice of life review intervention from the perspective of medical society,through the key details of the patient's output to make them re-understand themselves,affirm the value of suffering,strengthen the energy of positive events,and encourage them to develop new insights,and then affirm themselves,recognize the value of life.The author further analyzed the important practical experience gained from applying the life review interview method,namely,establishing the interview theme,actively listening,knowing the background of the times and clarifying,making this research more comprehensive.And it has practical reference value.Finally,the author summarized the study and discussed the following aspects: the existence of advanced cancer patients;the importance of life review in hospice care;the meaning of life review to patients;the meaning of the four ways of life.In short,it fully proves that life review is a way to help patients reach self-reconciliation and reconciliation with life at the end of their lives.
