With the rise of maker education, emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence are playing an increasingly important role in leading reforms in many industries. The cultivation of computational thinking has attracted the attention of many researchers.Computational thinking is a kind of human thinking. It means that individuals use computational tools or calculation methods to solve problems using computer domain methods such as problem definition, abstraction, and algorithms. Its content covers creativity, algorithmic thinking, critical thinking,Cooperative thinking, problem solving skills. This article analyzes the current research status of computational thinking training through the literature research method, and the results show that the cultivation of computational thinking has been started from basic education, but how to effectively cultivate computational thinking at this stage has not yet formed a systematic study. At the same time,as more and more primary and secondary schools offer 3D printing courses, more and more scholars are paying attention to its role as a carrier of computational thinking ability training.3D printing education in primary and secondary schools focuses on cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical ability, and focuses on the materialization of creativity, which is conducive to cultivating students' computational thinking.Based on the theoretical basis of project teaching theory, constructivist teaching theory, learning by doing theory, and cooperative learning theory, this research uses project teaching methods to integrate the five core concepts of computational thinking, generalization, decomposition, algorithmic thinking, evaluation, and abstraction into junior high schools. In the course of 3D printing course teaching,3D printing course teaching model oriented to computational thinking is constructed to effectively cultivate students' computational thinking ability. This study uses the quasi-experimental research method and the questionnaire survey method to verify the effectiveness of the junior high school 3D printing curriculum teaching model oriented to the cultivation of computational thinking.First of all,two 3D printing interest classes in one of the Junior Middle School,Nanhai District,Foshan City are selected as the research objects.Combining the teaching content and experimental conditions, the experimental class adopts a research-based teaching model for teaching, and the control class uses general 3D printing teaching mode(teaching/practice)for teaching.Secondly, before and after the experiment,pre-test and post-test were performed on the computational thinking of the students in the two classes through the Computational Thinking Scale, and the data statistics and analysis were carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics 23 software. In the end,the research results show that compared with the general 3D printing teaching mode, the junior high school 3D printing course teaching mode for computational thinking training effectively improves the students' computational thinking ability, and the students' algorithmic ability and critical ability have been significantly improved.
