Since 1950 s,the rapid development of artificial intelligence,5G and other technologies has brought about historic changes to our production and life.In the strategic deployment documents of various countries,it is emphasized that the cultivation of relevant talents should be strengthened.In 2018,the newly revised curriculum standard of high school information technology subject of the Ministry of education of China has included the "artificial intelligence preliminary" elective module,which is enough to see the importance of AI education.At the same time,as one of the indispensable skills of the 21 st century talents,computational thinking has been paid more and more attention to in the training.Through reading the literature,we can find that there is not much theoretical guidance and practical experience in the research of artificial intelligence education in junior high school.Therefore,this study attempts to build a teaching model suitable for the junior high school artificial intelligence education to improve the students' computational thinking level.This study analyzes six elements of teaching mode,and constructs a project-based teaching mode for computing thinking which is suitable for the artificial intelligence teaching in junior high school inspired by the traditional project teaching mode.According to the teaching model,this study adopts the method of two groups of pretest,and takes two classes in Grade 6 of a school in Shanghai as the research object.Through the data analysis of the pre-test results and interviews,the effectiveness of the teaching model is studied.The results show that the students' computational thinking level of the experimental class using the teaching mode has been improved significantly,and the knowledge of artificial intelligence is more firmly mastered.
