With the rapid development of information technology and artificial intelligence,the new era requires each of us to have computational thinking.The Information Technology Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools(2017 Edition)clearly defines computing thinking as one of the core qualities of the information technology discipline in ordinary high schools.However,according to the survey results,China 's junior high school students' computing thinking awareness is weak,and their computing thinking ability is generally low.As the aborigines in the information age,students are faced with meanings surrounded by information technology and a society that needs strong computing thinking ability.Therefore,this study is planned to systematically improve the computing thinking ability of junior high school students through theoretical and practical research.In order to effectively improve the computing thinking ability of junior high school students,this research uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method,quasi-experimental research method,interview method and other method,first clarified the definition and connotation of computing thinking,and put forward the computing thinking ability system.Then,taking junior high school students as the research object,investigating the computing thinking ability of junior high school students,and analyzed the problems of weak computing thinking consciousness and low computing thinking ability.The literature research and interviews with front-line information technology teachers found that computing thinking training still has a single evaluation method of computing thinking.Guided by humanistic learning theory,multiple intelligent learning theory,Dewey's "do middle school" theory,constructivist learning theory and education system design theory,the strategy to improve the computing thinking ability of junior high school students,mainly including problem driven strategy,problem decomposition strategy,visualization strategy,supported diversified learning resource strategy,reflection on optimization strategy,inquiry learning strategy and coherent diversified teaching evaluation strategy.To verify the effectiveness of strategies,this study implements relevant strategies to improve the computing thinking ability of junior high school students based on App Inventor programming.The practical results show that the computing thinking ability improvement strategy of junior high school students has improved the computing thinking ability and App Inventor programming learning effect.The innovative points of this research include: First,App Inventor programming teaching is regarded as a possible way to cultivate students ' computing thinking,and the other is to build a series of strategies to cultivate the computing thinking ability of junior high school students.The deficiencies of this study was the short practice cycle and low sample size to study students in different grades and schools.Therefore,in the follow-up research,the author will further expand the scope of the implementation strategy,carry out longer periods of research on the students of different grades and different schools,further revise and improve the computing thinking ability training strategy of junior high school students,and continuously improve the computing thinking ability of junior high school students,so as to meet the needs of the information society.
