The Promoting Effect Of Heuristic Example Learning In Solving Simple And Complex Geometric Proof Problems

The heuristic example was considered to be an effective learning method to promote students’ logical reasoning and problem argumentation.In the past,most of the heuristic examples were designed by Beoro’s six step method.The heuristic example designed by this method had more text content,some redundant individual content,and the steps were too tedious.On the basis of analyzing and extracting the main contents and steps,we designed three kinds of simple heuristic examples.Taking "simple" and "complex" two kinds of plane geometry proof questions as experimental materials,and taking junior high school students as subjects,we carried out two experimental studies by using single factor randomized grouping experimental design,aiming to investigate three kinds of simple heuristic examples and six step heuristic was there any difference in the promotion of learning and transfer effects of the three-year junior high school students to solve geometric proof problems.The results displayeded that:(1)In the case study of simple geometry proof problems,compared with the common cases,the three heuristic cases(heuristic examples of "proof order" prompt,heuristic example of "content" prompt and heuristic examples of "six steps" prompt)with proof order prompt can significantly improve the learning and transfer effect,however,there was no significant improvement in the learning and transfer performance of "theorem " prompt heuristic example learning.(2)In the case study of complex geometry proving problems,compared with common examples,two kinds of heuristic examples(heuristic example of "content" prompt and heuristic examples of "six steps" prompt)including both proving order prompt and theorem prompt significantly improved the learning and transfer effect;while heuristic example study with only theorem prompt or sequence prompt did not play a better role.The conclusion was that: In the heuristic examples of geometric proof problems,as long as the proof order and the related theorem tips were included,the heuristic examples with simple content can get the same learning and transfer effect as the six step heuristic examples.The learning achievement of heuristic examples can significantly predict their transfer achievement.
