Biological scientific literacy is an important part of citizens' scientific literacy,and it is the foundation of students' life-long development.However,there is a general lack of attention and cultivation of biological science literacy in rural junior middle school biology teaching.This article uses this as an entry point,based on constructivism theory,multiple intelligence theory,concept change theory,and quality education theory,and adopts a variety of teaching strategies to cultivate and improve the biological science literacy of rural junior high school students and achieve their overall development.First,useing the questionnaire survey method to understand the current status of the biological science literacy of the students in Jiuqian Middle School in Sandu County,clarify the problems,and provide a realistic basis for the research;secondly,conduct interviews with all the biology teachers in Jiuqian Middle School in Sandu County,and summarize the impact based on local conditions.Factors of students' biological science literacy;again,based on the results of surveys and interviews,the new curriculum standards for junior high school biology are oriented,combined with biology textbooks,to construct junior high school biology teaching strategies,adopting inquiry-based teaching,biological science history teaching,The strengthening and optimization of biological experiments,the infiltration of STS education,the development of extracurricular activities in biology,and the classroom teaching practice with "important concepts" as the core;finally,from the aspects of students' academic performance,learning interest,experimental ability and learning methods Test the implementation effect of the teaching strategy,and draw the following conclusions:1.Students have a weak biological foundation and generally lack critical thinking and exploratory spirit.Although they are good at using experimental methods to learn,their scientific inquiry ability and experimental operation level are poor.2.Using a variety of teaching strategies can improve students' performance.3.A variety of teaching strategies implemented in the experimental class can improve students' experimental operation ability,enhance students' interest in learning,and help students master a variety of effective learning methods.
