‘Mentoring’is one of the common ways to train class teachers in primary and middle schools in China.Through the activity of mentoring in the pairing process of the old and new head teachers,the level gap between the head teachers can be further narrowed,and the comprehensive strength of the head teachers’ team can be improved.At the same time,the reserve of the head teachers’ group will be further expanded.However,there are some problems in the implementation process.Based on the classification of existing problems in literature,the author summarizes the following common problems.Firstly,the orgnizers often pay attention to the results but ignore the process of assessment,and they only pay attention to the growth of apprentices,but ignore the teacher’s harvest;Secondly,the class teacher quality and quality of the promotion and excavation of the little;Thirdly,the responsibility of teachers is not strong.Most of them are afraid of suffering and being tired.They do not want to serve as a head teacher.Last but not least,the evaluation system is not true enough,the supervision is ineffective,the incentive mechanism is single and so on.This study takes the implementation status of the class teacher ‘mentoring’ activity in private T high school in the north of Jiangsu province as the entry point,and obtains first-hand research data by means of questionnaire survey,observation and interview.Based on the implementation of the‘mentoring’requirements,implementation status,such as questionnaire and interview survey to obtain reliable data,comprehensive theoretical basis of this study and literature,the author finds that the T high school teacher in charge the implementation of the‘mentoring’ training status quo,and the teacher in charge’s demand has certain gap.Further analysis and exploration of the reasons for the poor effect in the implementation are as follows:the imperfect organization and management mechanism,the imperfect assessment and evaluation mechanism,the narrow definition of ‘spreading,helping and leading’,the confused period of the teacher in charge of the class,the insufficient driving force of the teacher in charge of the class to participate in ‘spreading and leading’,etc.Based on the questionnaire survey and the interview with the interviewees,the author thinks about the implementation path of optimizing the‘mentoring’of the head teacher,and gives suggestions from four aspects: Unifying the concept understanding,improving the examination and management mechanism,meeting the needs of the main body,and creating a community atmosphere for the head teacher to grow.Helping the teacher in charge to help the new teachers actively,and the novice teacher set up ‘take the initiative to consult’ consciousness,to build the atmosphere of mutual learning helps the teacher in charge the core team and form the head teacher team construction growth.The writer hopes that the high school headteachers can use ‘mentoring’ activity by different kinds of activities,such as ‘pass’ wisdom,‘help’ growth,‘with’ culture,to promote the teacher in charge ‘mentoring’ activity more scientificly and reasonably,to accelerate the teacher in charge teacher professional development,and to improve the comprehensive quality of the T high school class teacher team.
