Mathematical operation is the most closely related mathematical content with our actual life.Mathematics operation embodies the accuracy,preciseness and application of mathematics vividly,and is the basic skill for students to participate in social practice.And real number operation runs through the whole course of mathematics in junior high school,which is the necessary knowledge and skill of junior high school students.Whether it is in the follow mathematics study,or other disciplines,the application of the field,need a higher level of real number operation ability as support.Based on this,419 students of Grade 8 and 9 and 8 mathematics teachers were selected as the research objects in three schools in Qingyang City,Gansu Province,by using the methods of literature,testing,questionnaire and interview.From the five knowledge dimensions of real number operation: rational number operation,number opening,irrational number estimation,quadratic root formula operation,real number mixed operation,and four performance dimensions of real number operation ability:understanding operation object,mastering operation principle,exploring operation ideas and designing operation formula,the paper analyzes the current situation of junior high school students' real number operation ability,And analyze the influence factors of junior high school students' real number operation ability level,and finally put forward six suggestions to improve the level of real number operation ability of junior high school students.Through the overall analysis of the junior high school students' real number operation ability level,it is found that the junior high school students' real number operation ability level is generally lower than that of the middle school students.The level level of understanding the operation objects,mastering the algorithm,exploring the operation ideas and designing the operation program is divergent,and nearly 30% of the students are at the level of 0;Through the difference test,the junior high school students' real number operation ability level has significant grade difference,the ninth grade students' real number operation ability level is higher than the eighth grade students.Through the analysis of each knowledge dimension,it is found that the junior high school students' rational number operation ability is relatively good in understanding the operation object,mastering the algorithm and exploring the operation ideas,and is on the middle side,while the performance level of designing the operation program is relatively low.The ability of the number of junior high school students in the square and the ability of irrational number estimation are generally low in understanding the object of operation,mastering the algorithm,exploring the operation ideas and designing the operation program.The secondary root formula ability of junior high school students has reached the middle level in understanding the operation object and mastering the algorithm,while the level of the two performances is relatively low in exploring the operation ideas and designing the operation program.The performance level of junior high school students' mixed operation ability is in the middle level in understanding the operation object and exploring the operation ideas,while the level of mastering the operation rules and designing the operation program is low.The main factors influencing the level of junior high school students' real number operation ability are: Students' view of real number operation,students' cognitive structure of real number,students' habits of real number operation,students' mathematical thinking quality,teachers' interpretation of curriculum standard,analysis of teaching materials and teachers' understanding of learning situation.Based on the current situation and influencing factors of junior high school students' real number operation ability,this study puts forward the following six teaching suggestions: first,students should develop good real number operation habits;Second,teachers should accurately grasp the teaching requirements of real number operation;Third,teachers should guide students to correctly understand the related concepts of real number operation and understand the calculation theory;Fourth,students should master the rules and formulas of real number operation;The fifth is to accumulate the beneficial experience of real number operation in the training of problem solving;Sixth,teachers should timely test the students' mastery of real number operation.
