Mathematical operation ability is one of the three major basic abilities of mathematics and one of the ten core concepts.It has a large proportion in mathematics study,application and teaching.Mathematical ability is an important part of the cultivation of students' mathematics ability in the compulsory education phase.Based on the study of related theories,questionnaires and test papers were compiled to investigate the development status of mathematics computing ability of the eighth grade students.The survey found that students' mathematics skills are not high.This phenomenon is manifested in the unbalanced development of student's computing ability.The average score just passed.Some students do not pay enough attention to their computing skills,they have poor operating habits,they lack of the computing skills,and they have psychological fragility.Based on the test results and the interviews with teachers and students,the factors that influence the development of mathematics operation ability of the eighth grade students are analyzed from the subjective and objective perspectives.Combining with the teaching practice and the theory of educational psychology,the tactics of cultivating mathematics ability of eighth grade students are proposed:(1)Emphasize the cultivation of students' non-intellectual factors;(2)Strengthen the teaching of basic knowledge and the cultivation of computational skills;(3)Reduce the influence of objective factors on students' mathematical ability.
