According to Erickson's theory of self-identity,if teenagers cannot overcome the identity crisis in their youth, they may fall into the confusion of self-identity and lead to crimes. It's vital to pay attention to the development of self-identity of delinquent teenagers.Nowadays, the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency is becoming more and more serious. In order to help juvenile delinquency, many places in the country have established the social care system.Social work service agencies,as an important force in the work of caring education, provide transitional education and correction for juvenile delinquency during the criminal proceedings. At present, the main ways of social work organizations to observe nursing education are individual case service, psychological counseling, family counseling, behavior correction, etc. In this paper,we studied S project of K agency in Fuzhou as an example, which has long term cooperation with the People's Procuratorate, carrying out the work of observing and caring education for delinquent youth.During the internship in the project, the author used questionnaire and interview to investigate the teenagers in project S,and found that most of juvenile delinquents had self-identity crisis, which was mainly manifested as large self-cognition deviation, lack of reasonable self-goals and serious negative self-emotion.Combining literature research and the results of the survey, based on the identity theory and the theory of cognitive behavior, with delinquent youth as subjects, use group working methods for professional intervention, helping juvenile delinquents to understand objective self, set up reasonable goal, have a positive attitude into the society, increase their self-identity.The evaluation results showed that the juvenile delinquents corrected the self-perception bias, discovered their own advantages, enhanced their self-confidence,had a clearer self-planning,and the group work exploration was effective. Finally, summarizes and reflects on the advantages and limitations of the group intervention, and puts forward some suggestions to enrich the research on social work practice,so as to explore a practical model for social workers to intervene in the field of delinquent youth counseling.
