| With the development of the information age,high school geography classroom teaching gradually introduces information technology,and GIS technology as a new technology in the field of geography,has a unique significance for the development of geography education.How to introduce GIS technology into geography teaching in senior high school is a question worth pondering.Combined with the particularity of GIS education and the present situation of teaching at home and abroad,the combination of GIS technology and inquiry teaching is a reasonable way to realize high school geography GIS education.This research mainly uses the uniqueness of GIS education and inquiry teaching to discuss the advantage and teaching mode of GIS technology in high school geography inquiry teaching.Firstly,by using the method of literature analysis,the related concepts of GIS and inquiry teaching are combed out,and the concepts of inquiry teaching,inquiry learning and research learning are analyzed.By summarizing the current research situation of GIS education at home and abroad and the mode of inquiry teaching,this paper concludes and analyzes the advantages of GIS technology in high school geography inquiry teaching.Then the application of GIS technology in senior high school geography inquiry teaching is analyzed by questionnaire.The following conclusions are drawn from the analysis:The main contents are as follows:(1)Through the analysis of the current research situation at home and abroad,the differences of teaching in the application of GIS at home and abroad are analyzed.It is suggested that students actively use GIS science in the process of studying geography,while the domestic GIS education mainly stays at the understanding level of GIS technology,which is difficult to use GIS technology to learn geography.Aiming at the concept of`GIS,combined with exploratory teaching to improve the shortage of domestic GIS education.(2)Through the advantages of inquiry teaching and GIS technology,this paper analyzes the advantages of GIS in senior high school geography inquiry teaching,which mainly includes three aspects: the advantages of GIS in cultivating students’ inquiry ability,and the advantages of GIS in cultivating students’ geographical thinking ability.The advantages of GIS in enhancing the effect of inquiry teaching.(3)Analyzing the present situation of the application of GIS technology in geography inquiry teaching in senior high school,this paper analyzes the influence of teaching age on GIS technology in geography teaching in senior high school,and the relationship between teachers’ understanding of GIS technology and the frequency of inquiry teaching using GIS.The relationship between the frequency of inquiry teaching between computer equipment and teachers using GIS,and the relationship between the ability of teachers to process geographic data by using GIS and the frequency of inquiry teaching by using GIS.The results show that there are significant differences between teaching age and GIS software,teaching age and using GIS software to process all kinds of local data used in teaching.meanwhile,There are also significant differences in teachers’ understanding of GIS technology,computer equipment in their schools,teachers’ ability to process geographic data by GIS and the frequency of inquiry teaching using GIS.Therefore,the application of GIS in senior high school geography inquiry teaching needs to enhance teachers’ understanding of software,improve hardware facilities and teachers’ ability to use GIS software to process geographical data.(4)According to the requirements of the new curriculum standard,the inquiry teaching program is designed by GIS,and the case is analyzed.Finally,through the case teaching design,using the GIS technology to combine the teaching case of the inquiry teaching design,the feasibility and the advantage of the GIS technology in the high school geography inquiry teaching are analyzed. |
