Teaching is not only the practice of teachers' cognition and behavior,but the practice of emotion.Teachers have to face many challenges in their work with mood swings every day.That is to say,emotion is part of the teaching,and it is also the core of teaching.Emotion exists in the whole process of teachers' work and their professional lives,and it dominates teachers' teaching,interaction and professional development.Emotion also determines the trajectory of novice teachers' professional development.Especially for teachers in their first year of teaching,they had just stepped into the job,and are in the initial stages of teachers' occupation.Their occupational adaptation are not just in knowledge and skills and their emotional experience are just as important.They are may the tone of their entire professional lives.However,previous researches on novice teachers are focused on the difficulties and challenges of their occupational adaptation,neglecting the emotional dimension.For the perspective of the thing itself of experience research,this study bases on the real work situation of novice teachers in primary school,showing their emotional experience of occupational adaptation and rich inner world.Through the experience stories and interviews of the novice teachers in their first year,this study shows the emotional experience of novice teachers' occupational adaptation.In terms of teaching,novice teachers experience satisfied,flustered,distressed and helpless in their class.Their experience also are affected at management discipline problems,students' homework and test feedback.In terms of interpersonal interaction,teachers in the first year of teaching experience positive or negative emotions in their interactions with students,parents,teachers,colleagues and their principals.In terms of professional growth,novice teachers have the expectation and anxiety in their beginning stage of work.They may be blank and helpless when they encounter setbacks,and joyful and sense of achievement after self-breakthrough.This study explores the circumstances of novice teachers' emotional experience and the influencing factors,and finds that the key factors that lead to different emotional experience of novice teachers are mainly reflected in three aspects.Firstly,there are objective factors brought by the particularity of teaching.Secondly,there are the individual factors of teachers,which are manifested in the construction of the professional self of the teachers' personality,the mastery of professional knowledge and ability,and the level of emotional intelligence.Thirdly,there are the external factors,such as interpersonal emotional distance in the relationship between teachers,students,parents and peers,teachers' cultural atmosphere and the support of school organization,which in the intertexture of the tension in shaping novice teachers' emotional understanding and misunderstanding.In addition,this study draws the map of emotional experience of novice teachers' occupational adaptation in primary school by emotional geography theory,so as to clearly shows in the context and in the novice teachers' real and rich emotional experience.If novice teachers in the first year in primary schools can accumulate the positive emotional experience in their occupational adaptation and make it to be for a long time,it helps strengthen the drive and provide power of their professional development.To promote the novice teachers' occupational adaptation,this research provides some suggestions in the construction of the positive emotional experience ascension path.To novice teachers,they should improve themselves.To primary schools,they need to provide some supports,reasonably expecting the growth of novice teachers,improving the sense of self-efficacy,belonging and happiness of teachers.
