Heavy learning tasks and the spread of online media such as video games and short videos,to a large extent, increase children's sedentary behavior and reduce their physical activity, which has a serious impact on children's physical health. At the same time, physical health monitoring means in schools are single, and children with motor development lag and motor development coordination disorder cannot be screened effectively and intervened in time.As the most basic motor skills of children, gross motor development is closely related to physical health and physical activities. The gross motor development test can not only screen out the children with motor development lag,but also evaluate the physical health status of children and predict the amount of physical activity of children, which plays a monitoring role for the physical health of children. The research on the development of gross movement and physical health, physical activity and cognitive function in the existing literature has become the focus of current scholars. However, the research subjects are mainly urban children aged 3-6,and there are few studies on the motor development of rural children.Fewer studies have looked at motor development and behavioral inhibition in children over the age of 7.In addition, existing empirical studies have shown that physical exercise can promote gross motor and cognitive function in children. The sport of figure rope skipping is easy to organize, interesting, safe and has good fitness effect, which is very suitable for children in primary school, especially in rural schools which lack hardware facilities. Therefore, this study takes rural children as the research object and uses pattern rope skipping as the intervention means to explore the influence of pattern rope skipping on the development of gross movement and behavioral inhibition function of rural children, and whether there is a correlation between the development of gross movement and behavioral inhibition function. In this paper, the methods of literature, video observation, experiment and mathematical statistics are adopted.Thirty-eight rural children aged 7-9 were selected as the experimental subjects and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,19 in each group. The experimental group received 40 minutes of synchronized rope skipping 5 times a week. The control group did not receive any item intervention, and maintained the original daily physical activities. The gross motor development scale(TGMD-3)and the psychological measurement paradigm(dual ODDBALL task)were used to measure the gross motor development score and the level of behavioral inhibition function respectively. After 6 weeks of intervention experiment of figure rope skipping, the research conclusions are as follows:(1)After 6 weeks of pattern rope skipping,it can significantly promote the gross motor development ability of rural children aged 7-9.Especially running and jumping and swinging movement skills,of which, displacement movement skills hopped, running and jumping, standing jump, sidesliding project effect is the most significant;Manipulating action skills are most effective on the shoulder shot, hit the fixed ball, hit the rebound ball.(2)Repeated measure ANOVA was used to analyze the behavioral indicators before and after the experiment. It was found that the correct rate of children in the two groups was improved after the experiment, indicating the development of behavioral inhibition function. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the effect of group × test stage, indicating that there was no significant difference in the accuracy and reaction time between the two groups before and after the experiment. That is,6 weeks of pattern rope skipping did not promote behavioral inhibition in rural children aged 7-9 years.(3)There was no correlation between gross motor development and behavioral inhibition in rural children aged 7-9.The bivariate correlation test on the variation value of gross movement development score, accuracy and reaction time showed that the correlation coefficient between gross movement development and behavior inhibition was not significant. This indicates that there is no correlation between gross motor development and behavioral inhibition in rural children aged 7-9.The results of this study partially verified the experimental hypothesis and proved that 6-week pattern rope skipping can promote the development of gross motor of rural children aged 7-9 years.Especially the movement skills of running and jumping and swinging provide reference for the development of the course of figure rope skipping in school physical education from the perspective of movement development.
