The new curriculum standard requires history teaching of junior high school to be mainly student-oriented,and students learn historical knowledge through discussion and research between teachers and students.At the same time,drawing,picture-viewing skills and methods that were not valued in the past are re-emphasized and become an important tool to learn history.While the historical map is not only a microcosm of the time,but also a dynamic reflection of historical events over a period of time.Historical maps have historical and map value in history teaching of middle school,meanwhile,they also play an important role in the process of learning history.This article analyzes the historical questions of the junior high school examination in Kunming in recent years,and finds that some of the multiple-choice questions and essay questions are based on maps.So in order to meet the needs of the examination,this requires middle school students to have the ability to analyze and use historical maps.Due to the improvement of students' academic examination requirements,teachers in junior high school are required to pay attention to the combination of the ability to read and read the maps in the history and geography knowledge,so as to improve the teacher's own ability to use maps.On this basis,it can better cultivate the students' ability to use historical maps.So as to promote students to master historical knowledge proficiently,improve students' ability of graphic recognition and comprehensive analysis.This not only improves the students' own historical core literacy,but also greatly improves the teaching quality.In addition,the application of history maps in the junior high school history teaching helps students learn to correctly analyze and think about problems,and it is conducive to improve students' interdisciplinary comprehensive literacy.Therefore,the research on this topic is useful for improving the effect of junior high school history teaching.It is of great significance to improve students' comprehensive quality and ability and improve their learning efficiency.This article uses a questionnaire survey method to conduct research,mainly to conduct a questionnaire survey on the use of historical maps by the junior high school students in our school in the process of history learning.Specifically,it includes investigating how the teacher explains the historical map when students use the historical map for historical learning,and how the teacher makes key breakthroughs in the weak links of the historical map application during the later review of the teaching process,and how the teacher makes a breakthrough in the weak links of the historical map application and what kind of method is used in the teaching process,the use of historical maps during explanation,how the students' learning effect is.Based on the questionnaire survey results,the author further analyzes and studies the application value of historical maps in the process of history teaching.This article also promotes students' grasp of historical knowledge through the analysis and explanation of historical maps.At the same time,through the analysis of cases,we can find out the shortcomings and problems in the current history teaching process,and propose solutions and measures accordingly.
