With the rapid development of information technology,information technology education such as programming has been incorporated into the curriculum of comprehensive practical activities in primary and secondary schools.Programming has become a necessary method to cultivate the information literacy of primary and secondary school students.Scratch graphical programming software has become the preferred tool for primary school students to learn programming because of its simple operation,powerful functions,and visual interface.Gamification teaching takes students' interest as the starting point,integrates game context and teaching content,and creates an interactive classroom with rich game elements.It is an innovative teaching method which enhances the effect of classroom teaching.How to better carry out Scratch course teaching in the context of gamification has become the focus of joint exploration by front-line teachers.Therefore,this thesis conducts research from the following aspects:The main content of the research is the teaching design and application of Scratch curriculum based on gamification teaching in the upper grade of primary school,including three parts: teaching resource development,teaching model design and teaching application.First of all,based on the theoretical research of gamification teaching,the characteristics of senior primary school students and the situation of the Scratch curriculum are investigated through questionnaire surveys to determine the teaching objectives and teaching content.Around the subject characteristics of the Scratch curriculum and the characteristics of learners,teaching resource named "Scratch Fantasy Castle" is developed,which is game-based.The teaching resource is based on the story of the fantasy castle.The teaching content is developed through the game form of the protagonist "Pico" having adventure in the castle.Secondly,the three core elements of the APT teaching model,which includes teaching evaluation,teaching methods,and technical tools,are used as the support points of teaching design.The game concept and game mechanism are integrated to design a Scratch teaching model based on gamification teaching.The teaching model includes game background and novices.There are five links:game background,novice practice,task breakthrough,team fight against monsters,and achievement awards.Finally,this study selects fifth-grade students of an Chongqing experimental primary school as the teaching objects,carries out gamification teaching practice,and uses the questionnaire survey method and SOLO classification evaluation method to conduct evaluation statistics and effect analysis on the students' learning and works to verify the game Effectiveness of teaching.The research results show that the game-based teaching design and practice of Scratch courses in the upper grades of primary schools can enhance students' classroom interactive experience and significantly improve classroom teaching effects.Students can use interdisciplinary knowledge to complete works independently,and their logical thinking ability and creative ability are improved in the process of gamification learning.
