Regional cognition is one of the core literacy of geography disciplines,and its ideas and methods play a guiding role in learning regional geography.Because regional geography is an important part of junior middle school geography and the main carrier to cultivate regional cognitive literacy of junior middle school students,it is of great significance to investigate the current situation of regional cognitive literacy of junior middle school students,find out the problems and put forward targeted teaching strategies.In this study,the students and geography teachers of Jiamus City and some of its junior middle school are investigated,and the results show that:(1)The students' regional cognitive level is general and the thinking level is low;(2)Students are weak in their ability to analyze problems;(3)Students have poor ability to integrate knowledge independently;(4)The students' ability to migrate regional geography knowledge is poor;(5)Geography teachers pay little attention to some dimensions of regional cognitive literacy;(6)The development trend of students' regional cognition is developing in a good direction.This study analyzes the existence and causes of regional cognitive literacy between junior middle school students in Jiamus City,and puts forward the training strategy of cognitive literacy in the geographical area of junior middle school from the aspects of teachers,teaching materials,teaching methods,learning methods and teaching feedback,based on constructivism theory,humanism theory,SOLO classification and the actual situation of teaching work.That is,to change the teaching concept of teachers and improve the quality of geography;combing and excavating the resources of geography curriculum,enriching the regional cognitive teaching content in the integrated teaching materials;improving the teaching methods of regional cognition;use charts to improve students' selflearning ability,and use SOLO classification to analyze questions and reflect on teaching evaluation.The study makes a more in-depth study on the level of regional cognitive literacy and the factors affecting students' regional cognitive literacy in the geography teaching of Jiamusi junior middle school,which provides reference for the cultivation of cognitive literacy in the geographical area of junior middle school students.
