The applied undergraduate colleges and universities in Anhui Province shoulder the mission of serving local development and cultivating applied talents.In the new era,we are advocating the comprehensive development of morality,intelligence,physical education,beauty,and labor.General education is an educational concept and an educational practice.,Provides a new path for the application-oriented colleges and universities to cultivate talents.Application-oriented undergraduate colleges are restricted by their own traditional system,faculty and other factors,and they do not pay enough attention to general education and general education courses.They are in a state of slow development.The actual difficulties they face also need to be resolved.Under this circumstance,it is also necessary to study the status quo of general education curriculum implementation in Anhui Province,and explore the current status and reasons for the existence of general education courses in applied undergraduate colleges in Anhui Province.Provide advice on the optimization and development of knowledge courses.This article is based on the theory of the all-round development of human beings,through questionnaire surveys and interview surveys,to study the status quo of general education in applied undergraduate colleges.Select full-time undergraduates from Hefei University as the survey subjects,use the method of questionnaire survey to analyze the collected sample data,and conduct interviews with school leaders,teachers and students of general education courses,revealing applied undergraduate colleges The current situation of general education curriculum implementation and the reasons behind the slow development,and reasonable suggestions for improvement are put forward based on the analysis of the reasons.The study found that the current general education courses of applied undergraduate colleges have the status quo of incomplete popularization of general education concepts,imperfect curriculum setting system,insignificant course teaching effects,and limited students' independent choices.Analysis of the reasons for such problems exists.And put forward a clear concept of general education,multiple ways to promote and popularize;enrich curriculum settings,create characteristic integrated courses;strengthen and optimize the construction of the teaching staff;improve the general education curriculum evaluation system and set up a "foundation year" to guide students in choosing courses.It is hoped that the general education courses of applied undergraduate colleges in Anhui Province will be perfected and improved.
