The Reform Of General Education Mode Of General Undergraduate In Anhui University

The former State Board of Education carried out pilot work to strengthen the Students’ Cultural Quality Education in 52 universities in 1995. Anhui University became one of the first batch of colleges and universities building the "National University Students Cultural Quality Education Base." that approved by Ministry of Education in January of 1999. Since 1999, in order to cultivate the high-quality and innovative talented person Anhui University has approved the goal that "three bases of both, the comprehensive development", and vigorously promote the in-depth of cultural quality education work of college students. It has achieved important results. General Education and Cultural Quality Education are complementary and mutually exclusive. Cultural and educational achievements over the years of Anhui University may provide soil nutrients for the implementation of the reform of general education in the school.The implementation of general education reform in Anhui University has its reality and superiority:First, as the provincial "211" university, Anhui University has to improve its own content-type development and innovate the general education mode. In the new normal, assume the mission of service on social development of Anhui Province. Secondly, higher education of our country is in the development stage of popularization, currently, the general education should assume an important role to cultivate complete "person" at this stage. Third, the leaders of Anhui University attaches great importance to the cultural quality of education these years, Anhui University has achieved fruitful results on construction of the first class and expansion of the second class, or in the social practice. It has laid the foundation for the conduct of general education. Fourth, the implementation of general education cannot be separated from socialist core values education and innovation entrepreneurship education, general education courses has created a viable practice way for both of them. Fifth, the college entrance examination system reform proposed that college enrollment should take pluralistic admission mechanism, to guide higher education transform its attention from Exam-oriented education to quality-oriented education, in order to provide the cultural and ecological environment for general education.The focal point of General Education reform of Anhui University is to construct scientific and perfect system and mechanism of General Education. First, we must create a classification system of general education courses. General education core curriculum is divided into six modules, each module divided into a number of course units, according to the theme of each element of the curriculum and faculty curriculum integration to open classification. Second, we must establish a suitable organizational system of general education learning and teaching organization system. Third, we must build appraisal mechanism and professional triage mechanism and extending around the mechanism of general education.To improve general education mode of higher education, Anhui University has to do something as below. First, we must grasp the socialist orientation, creating comprehensive development of high-quality person and social responsibility education fully reflect in general education. Second, we must sublimate general education concept, innovate general education mode and set up a new model of higher education based on Internet+. Third, instead of the traditional ideology of professional education, we must integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education, enhance college students’ autonomous learning, innovation development, the spirit and ability of create the world. Fourth, improve the teaching quality evaluation system of general education, take the building of moral person as a core element of undergraduate teaching quality assessment. Fifth, we should strengthen the construction of general education teachers, creating a number of general education masters of good philosophy of life, identifying astronomical geography.
