Local Colleges And Universities Set Up Courses On General Education

As a result of more than ten years' sustained investigation, general education has become an important part of the Chinese present higher education. General education is a new kind of educational ideology and concept.In the traditional mode of education professionals under the influence of the University of cultivating talent show gradually narrow knowledge, capacity structure is irrational, poor social adaptation, innovation and a seri- es of the lack of quality not suitable for further development of the social d- isadvantaged. These make up for the lack of general education is a good str- ategy, the implementation of general education is imperative. First of all, m- odern science and technology in a highly divisive at the same time, highly integrated and deeper development of this objective trend of the implement- ation of general education requirements of the modern university. Secondly, in today's society of lifelong learning and professional status also requires f- requent changes in the modern university actively practicing general educat- tion. Finally, from a democratic society and the country's development proc- ess and to reduce the brain drain of its own point of view, the implementati- on of the University of general education is very necessary. In reality, there are an increasing number of institutions active in various ways the practice of general education, which, set up core general education curriculum is to achieve an effective, based on the way. Education implementation needs put curriculum into effect, so does the general education, which is a changing discourse from idea to reality. Therefore, if one wants to carry out the gener- al education in higher education, the study of the concept of general educati- on and discussion of general education curriculum are necessary.The study, which was attended by 10 high schools that have awarding right of academic degree and was studied basically by means of general education curriculum, carried out an practical investigation. The purpose of this study is to grasp the real developing condition of general education in inner mongolia higher schools, to find out key problems,to develop further study in it, then propose the feasible suggestion to the general education of inner mongolia higher schools, and to provide the foundation of higher administration department.For to a certain degree, the study method and procedure is decided bystudy topic, this paper was a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, and it mainly adopted some ways and means, such as text.diagnoses, history, comparison and etc.。Department responsible for the educational work guide, promote and ensure the development of General education, and meanwhile, departments responsible for the educational work in each school fulfill the curriculum of general education. And on the basis of it we arrange the real condition of general education in inner mongolia higher schools. And the study reveal some problems and offered some suggestions.After we investigated the policy background, survey,objective, content and other relevant aspects of general education curriculum in 10 higher schools in inner mongolia. We found that the basic curriculum system of general education has been formed in present inner mongolia higher schools, though there were different problems curriculum objective, content, type and other guarantee mechanisms. On the basis of integrative analysis of historical and realistic conditions under which the existing problems arise, we combined foreign experience in implementing General education and domestic realistic situation in higher education and teaching. Then we put forward relative countermeasures according to different problems.
