In today's information age,the continuous innovation of science and technology makes our country continue to explore and introduce new and appropriate forms of education to cultivate innovative applied talents.In this context,STEAM education concept with cross-field and multi-faceted characteristics,dynamic and mainly aimed at solving real problems,has been introduced into China.As a basic education,science teaching in primary schools pays attention to students' practical operation and knowledge application ability,but it also ignores students' innovation ability.The art elements in STEAM education are suitable for the training of students' divergent thinking and creative ability when exploring the mysteries of science.Therefore,integrating art into primary school science teaching is the inevitable trend of future development.This paper mainly uses literature research method and action research method to search the monographs,dissertations and journal articles related to STEAM education and science teaching in primary schools in the recent ten years.By summarizing and extracting the main contents and ideas of the article,the artistic elements in STEAM concept are divided into four dimensions: humanistic art,delicate art,body handcraft art and language art.At the same time,to 24 view class in primary school and a line of elementary school science teachers' teaching design document analysis,put forward the students in the learning of scientific knowledge into with the lack of humanities,arts,students plan and record the data when the lack of fine art into their activities,students in the experiment in the process of the lack of body art by hand into the report,students in communication into such problems as lack of language art.Through interviews with primary school science teachers and teaching research to find out the reasons of teachers' low awareness of integrating art elements in science teaching,teachers' poor innovation ability of integrating art and science teaching,teachers' insufficient ability to use science resources containing art elements.Then it puts forward the strategies of integrating the history of science and the events of scientific life,the drawing of mind map or concept map,the use of materials and tools containing artistic elements,the creative application of scientific language,listening,speaking,reading and writing,etc.The author examines and reflects on the effectiveness of this strategy with the instructional design of curriculum reconstruction.Through the practice of curriculum reconstruction,the author finds that students can establish the connection between science and life through humanities and art,improve the comprehensive application ability of knowledge and aesthetic observation ability through exquisite art,implement innovative thinking through body manual art,and improve logical thinking through language art.
