Image system plays a very important role in teaching materials,which has many functions such as interest stimulation,information interpretation,knowledge presentation,etc.Using image to teach is helpful to improve students' various abilities and qualities.Currently,high schools across the country are gradually implementing high school biology textbooks to be published in2019,and most teachers are not familiar with the new textbooks.Comparing the image system of the required part of high school biology textbooks published by People's Education Press in 2007 and 2019,investigating the application status of the image system in teaching,putting forward optimization suggestions and application strategies of the image system in teaching materials and carrying out practice,analyzing the results of practice,and drawing conclusions,which can not only help front-line teachers to get familiar with the new textbooks,but also help them to improve the quality of teaching materials.It can also provide reference for teachers to better use image resources for teaching.Firstly,this research uses literature research method to make a comprehensive analysis of the domestic and foreign literature on the image system of teaching materials,to understand its research status and determine the theoretical basis.Then,using the comparative research method,this paper qualitatively compares the scientific,ideological and artistic aspects of the image system of the required part of high school biology textbooks in the new and old editions of the People's Education Edition,and quantitatively compares the five aspects of quantity and distribution,function,content,apparent characteristics and organizational structure.Questionnaires were used to investigate the students' interest,evaluation and application of the image system in a certain high school in Shihezi.Interview method was used to understand the teachers' understanding of the image system and its teaching application,and the existing problems were analyzed.Then combined with the results of textbook comparison and current situation investigation,feasible optimization suggestions and application strategies are put forward,and teaching practice is carried out.The results are as follows:By comparing the image system of the textbook,it is found that the new textbook corrects part of the image and makes the image more accurate in terms of science.In terms of ideology,the characters in the images of the new textbooks are more active and healthy,and pay attention to presenting the new achievements in science and technology and the excellent traditional Chinese culture.In terms of artistry,the image of the new teaching material has a unique artistic style,the modeling and typesetting design are beautiful and generous,the color collocation is quietly elegant and soft,and the contrast is obvious and not monotonous.In terms of quantity and distribution,the image system of the two textbooks can be both illustrated and illustrated.In terms of functions,images representing examples,explanations and skills enhancement account for the largest proportion in the two editions of textbooks,but the new textbooks attach more importance to the emotional education function of images.In terms of content,both textbooks contain images in a variety of content forms,but the new textbook pays more attention to using morphological structure diagrams to visually display biological knowledge.In terms of the apparent characteristics,the new textbook has more reasonable location of text and text,more large picture images,and fully presents the details of morphological structure and physiological process.In terms of organizational structure,the old textbooks emphasize the use of parallel diagram and sub-parent diagram to show the morphological structure of objects,while the new textbooks emphasize the use of contrast and process images to highlight the structural characteristics and show the material changes in the physiological process.The new textbooks have more complete image structure,but there is still room for improvement.The results of the investigation show that there are some problems: it is difficult for students to convert text to text;Students lack the ability to analyze images and solve problems;Students can not master the method of learning by drawing skillfully and have less training.Teachers' research on the image system of the new textbook is not deep enough,and there is little research on how to select,optimize and present images.The teaching method is relatively single,and the degree of participation of students is low.Based on the comparison of the image system in textbooks and the results of the investigation of the present situation,the optimization suggestions and application strategies are put forward.Suggestions for optimization: 1.Pay attention to the use of concept maps to enhance the connection between chapters;2.Improve the image structure and enhance the combination degree of text and text;3.Increase the number of combination graphs and diversify the combination methods.Application strategies: 1.Study the image system of textbooks deeply to improve the skills of lesson preparation;2.Help students discover and mine image information to improve students' participation;3.Flexible use of text and text conversion,map conversion;4.Cultivate students' core literacy by using the diversified features of images.The application strategy is applied in practical teaching and it is concluded that the application strategy of image system proposed in this study is helpful for students to master knowledge,has a significant impact on students' performance,and can promote the development of students' ability of reading,analyzing and using pictures.
