Nowadays,education emphasizes the cultivation of students' core literacy.As the most direct tool of geography teaching,geography textbooks are the core curriculum resources to cultivate students' core literacy.Taking the new edition of PEP and high school geography textbook geography 1 and 2 as examples,this paper mainly uses the methods of literature,comparison and case analysis to make a comparative study on the image system from the four aspects of image quantity,image type,image combination and image design.On the one hand,it hopes to contribute to the research of high school geography textbook,On the other hand,it can provide reference for front-line teachers to reasonably use the image system of the new edition of geography textbooks.The whole thesis is divided into seven partsThe first part,the introduction.This paper introduces the background,purpose and significance,content and method of this study.The second part is literature review.The paper summarizes the current situation of geography textbooks at home and abroad,explains the connotation and classification of image system,and determines the theoretical basis for this study.The third part,describes the function of image system.The paper focuses on the status and function of image system in geography textbooks.The fourth part,according to the theoretical basis of the second part and the third part,explains that the research basis and presentation of the statistical table of image system are the key contents of this chapter.The fifth part,according to the statistical table,makes a comparative analysis from the number of images,image types,image combination and image design,and summarizes the similarities and differences between the two versions of textbook image system.The sixth part,case analysis.Taking the geographical image of "heating process of atmosphere" as an example,the paper points out the difference between the selection and design of relevant images in the two textbooks.The seventh part,according to the fifth part statistical results and the sixth part of the case analysis,puts forward the use of high school geography textbooks is the key content of this chapter.The eighth part,conclusion.According to the above comparative analysis,the basic conclusion of the comparative analysis of image system of two edition geography textbooks is summarized.Finally,the reflection and Prospect of this study are carried out.
