The 21 st century is the information age,information technology has penetrated into all sectors of society,and widely applied to all aspects of people's lives.Therefore,it is particularly important to strengthen the learning of information technology courses in the stage of basic education.However,in terms of the current situation of the application of information technology in junior middle schools,there are still many problems,which need to be improved in the aspects of teaching philosophy,teaching mode and methods.As a teaching method,PBL provides ideas for the reform of information technology curriculum in junior middle school.Specifically,PBL teaching method is problem-based,student-centered,through carefully designed teaching situation,to impart knowledge and solve the problems existing in the process of students' learning.There is no doubt that the implementation of the teaching method is conducive to dealing with those prominent problems currently existed in information technology curriculum taught in junior high school,including too simple teaching mode,the shortage of students' interest in learning,the lack of students' abilities in self-learning,collecting information,and so on.In view of this,this study takes "the application of PBL teaching method in junior high school information technology" as the topic,and literature review,questionnaire survey,and interviews are adopted to carry out the discussion.Through combing the history and the research of PBL at home and abroad,the research object was determined.Firstly,this paper summarizes the background,purpose,significance of choosing this topic,as well as the research situation at home and abroad,details the research ideas and methods,and briefly introduces the research content.Secondly,this paper gives a detailed introduction to PBL teaching method,and states the value of this topic from two aspects of necessity and significance.Thirdly,through the questionnaire survey and interview in W middle school,this paper finds out the current situation of information technology course teaching in W middle school,as well as its shortcomings,and makes attribution to these problems.Thirdly,this paper summarizes the basic process of PBL teaching method according to the existing research.Then,this paper elaborates information technology teaching materials used by W junior high school,teaching content,and junior high school students' personalities.Fifthly,the author uses PBL teaching method to carry out information technology course teaching in W junior high school,and makes up two teaching designs about information technology course.Finally,the author makes an analysis of the effect resulted from the application of PBL teaching method in information technology curriculum taught in junior high school based on students' learning performance in information technology curriculum and students' satisfaction to information technology teaching,so as to show the effectiveness of PBL teaching method and evaluate the implementation effect of PBL teaching method.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Teachers have insufficient understanding of the application of PBL in junior middle school information technology teaching,and their understanding of the value of PBL teaching method needs to be strengthened;It is difficult for teachers to use PBL in junior middle school information technology teaching.They don't have a good grasp of the methods of using PBL in teaching and don't form a specific operation mode,which makes PBL and junior middle school information technology teaching not well combined.(2)When PBL teaching is applied to information technology teaching in junior middle school,it should follow four basic principles,that is,the combination of autonomous learning and cooperative learning,the principle of problem-based learning,the feasibility and differences.It should be carried out in five steps: analyzing teaching content-designing problems-creating situations,leading out problems-thinking and discussion,analyzing problems-group cooperation,solving problems-displaying works,evaluation and making conclusion.(3)PBL teaching method can effectively improve the students' academic performance in terms of test results,and the students are more satisfied with the implementation of PBL teaching method.The application of PBL teaching method in junior middle school information technology education has obvious effect on improving students' information technology level,learning interest,innovative thinking ability,as well as improving students' autonomous learning ability and cooperative learning ability.Therefore,we should pay attention to the application of PBL teaching method in junior middle school information technology education.
