Promoting the professional development of college teachers is an effective way to stimulate the educational potential and teaching wisdom of college teachers,and it is the basis of high-quality talent training in Colleges and universities.As one of the more developed countries in higher education,the construction of high-quality teachers in Britain benefits from its systematic and scientific teacher professional development mechanism.The professional development of university teachers in the UK has experienced a period of germination,growth,maturity and specialization.A comprehensive professional standard and guide to ensure good teaching practice and student experience-ukpsf has been issued.Using the methods of literature analysis,comparative research and case analysis,this study selects three representative British public research universities in the top100 of the times higher education world university rankings in 2021,taking their school-based practice of teacher professional development as examples,This paper introduces the personal and professional development center of Cambridge University,the organization and staff development department of Imperial College of technology,which reflects the systematic demand development,and the Academic Development Institute of Edinburgh University,which highlights the "comprehensive" professional service.Combined with the actual situation of College Teachers' professional development in China,it is considered that a policy network with benign interweaving of top-level design and school-based policy should be formulated to promote the development of "demand response" service-oriented teachers' development model.At the same time,strengthen the construction of teacher development incentive mechanism with funds from multiple sources,innovate teacher development organization and improve professional development standards according to practical results.Research rich and diversified teachers' professional development projects in order to promote the professional development of College Teachers in China.
