With the development of Chinese education,Education department has new requirements and suggestions for Chinese education.In the “Chinese curriculum standard for ordinary senior high schools(2017 edition,revised in 2020)“whole book reading and research” ranked first and was valued.At present most of the whole book reading teaching ignore the cultivation of students' comprehensive ability and the need of the development comprehensive.The idea of “Extensive Chinese Education” emphasizes that the language classroom learning as the axis,open up and extend to all areas of students' life,the idea follows the law of students' physical and mental development,meets the requirements of Chinese education goals.It is helpful for teachers to better“teach”,students to better “learn”,to realize the real value of Chinese teaching,and to cultivate thoughtful and knowledgeable talents.Based on the above reasons,the author used literature analysis,comparative study and casa analysis,guided by the idea of“Extensive Chinese Education” takes Border Town as an example and combines the artistic characteristics of fiction texts to explore the teaching strategies for the whole book reading,in order to provide the development of the whole book reading teaching.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction describes the origin,purpose and significance,research methods,and explains the research status of “Extensive Chinese Education” and the reading of the whole book.Body part consists of four chapters,the first chapter of “Extensive Chinese Education” thought and the whole book reading related concept,the “Extensive Chinese Education” thought to guide the whole book reading teaching discusses the feasibility and necessity of this a few aspects,aims to clear the “Extensive Chinese Education”thought of the whole book reading teaching important value.The second chapter analyzes the whole book reading teaching of high school novels and points out the existing problems and causes.The third chapter takes the novel text Border Town as an example,uses the idea of “Extensive Chinese Education” to carry out the teaching design of the whole book reading,taking it as a specific case of teaching activities to show the practical results of the thought.The fourth chapter expounds the teaching strategy of reading the whole book of high school novels based on the thought of “Extensive Chinese Education”,and make effective suggestions.Conclusion part of summarized and points out deficiencies.
