Homework is an important part of teaching and learning,an important means to test the results of teaching and improve the quality of mathematics,and an important area of educational reform.2021 saw the introduction of the "double reduction" policy,which aims to reduce the burden of students,improve the quality of learning and promote the overall development of students.It is therefore inevitable to improve the quality of homework,reverse the phenomenon of excessive homework and lack of hierarchy,focus on students' overall development,reduce their homework burden,and systematically design homework that meets the characteristics of age and learning rules and reflects the orientation of quality education.Based on the background of the "double reduction" policy,this paper studies the optimization strategies of after-school homework in upper elementary school mathematics from the aspects of homework quantity,homework design and homework review.In the research process,the author first uses the literature analysis method to read domestic and foreign literature related to homework,and then compares and summarizes the previous research results.The current situation of extra-curricular homework in upper elementary school is summarized.The study then looked at the quantity of homework,homework design and homework review,in order to reduce the quantity of homework and improve the quality of homework while ensuring teaching effectiveness.The study found that under the background of "double reduction",the amount of extra-curricular mathematics homework assigned by teachers has been reduced,and the difficulty of homework has been lowered.The problems are: teachers' conception of homework design has not been changed;teachers' one-sided understanding of the function of mathematics homework;neglect of students' individual differences;weak awareness of using online educational resources;and lack of attention to the correction and evaluation of homework.In view of this,the author will combine educational theory and internship experience to propose strategies to solve the problem: change the concept,arrange the amount of homework reasonably;enrich the types of homework to increase students' interest;design homework in different levels to enhance the flexibility of homework;explore the "hybrid" homework mode on and offline to make mathematical knowledge dynamic;optimize homework correction and evaluation,and provide timely We will also explore online and offline "hybrid" homework models to make mathematical knowledge dynamic.In order to "double reduction" background,homework reduction not reduce quality,follow the law of students' physical and mental development,give full play to the role of mathematics extracurricular homework to consolidate basic mathematical knowledge,cultivate mathematical thinking,improve mathematical ability,etc.,really achieve homework to save quantity and improve quality.
