The "double reduction" policy,which was announced on July 24,2021,has garnered a lot of interest from all sectors of society,particularly in the field of education.How to adjust to the new policy,and how to reduce the students’ excessive homework load in a reasonably short amount of time and in a suitable quantity of homework,while taking into account the teaching effect,is the primary issue that teachers in compulsory education must address and resolve.The weakest comprehensive strength schools are found in China’s urban schools,namely the weakest middle schools.Through literature research,student questionnaire survey,teacher interview,practical research,experience summary,and other methods,this thesis analyzes the current condition and existing difficulties of weak middle schools,and investigates how to optimize the design of mathematics homework,correction,and comment under the "double reduction" policy using M Middle School in H City as an example.Through survey questionnaires and interviews with teachers,the author discovered the issues with mathematics homework in weak middle schools:1.Homework design link: single mode,mainly written work;no hierarchy;large number,challenging.2.Homework correction link: single mode;mainly full batch and full reform;single labeling,only right and wrong and grade,infrequent comments.3.Homework comment link: The homework scenario is not mastered,the main questions are not categorised and marked,the preparation work is insufficient,and the topic is not extended.The author summarized the coping mechanisms for various situations in light of the current issues:1.For homework design link: design diversified homework,primarily written homework,supplemented by gaming,hands-on operation,practical application,mathematical weekly recording,and combining other multiple types of work;homework content should be condensed and refined,exercises are chosen,and practice is repeated as necessary.Layer your homework assignments,and give different kinds of homework to different student types.2.For homework correction link,use a variety of correction techniques,such as full batch correction,combining other face-to-face correction,group approval,classmates exchange correction,spot check correction,self-correction,whiteboard interactive correction,and other correction techniques;Pay attention to the marking and encouraging comments;after the correction,produce a pertinent summary and organize the work.3.For the homework comment link,gather a range of comments together,including comments from teachers,comments from interactive comments,and one-on-one comments;When commenting on exercises,it is important to be well-prepared and timely.You should also prepare questions,choose exercises,and pick questions that are indicative of the type of questions that students frequently get wrong.When commenting on exercises,you should also thoroughly understand the type of questions and suitably expand and extend the evaluation of the exercises.Finally,you should produce a knowledge summary and timely summaries in the same type of questions after the evaluation.The research conducted for this thesis on the "double reduction" policy’s targeting of eighth grade mathematics homework in underperforming middle schools shows how the design process can reduce the burdensome homework load on students and increase their interest in mathematics.It can reduce the burden on teachers to review homework during the review process,allowing them to devote more time and energy to studying teaching and teaching methods.Furthermore,it can help students understand their homework issues and increase their confidence in learning mathematics through supportive comments.It enables teachers to make the most of class time and enhance teaching effectiveness throughout the commenting session.The integration of several evaluation methods inspires students to learn mathematics and improves their involvement in the classroom as well as their mastery of knowledge and problem types.
