Under the new curriculum standards,based on the cultivation of students’ key competences,school education should implement knowledge-action unity,cultivate students’ innovative and practical abilities,and advocate the adoption of activity-based curriculum for teaching.With the constant deepening of basic education reform,higher requirements have been put forward for the teaching of morality and rule of law course in junior high school.As a key link of the construction of "Integration of universities,middle and primary schools" of the national education,the morality and rule of law course of junior high school should keep up with the political education course of senior high school.As educational reform is constantly deepening,teaching methods should likewise be optimized.It can be said that the construction of activity-based curriculum is an inevitable choice of the reform of junior high school morality and rule of law teaching.The implementation of activity-based curriculum in junior high school teaching of morality and rule of law is conducive to developing students’ good moral character,as well as achieving the goal of "Foster character and civic virtue" in the morality and rule of law course of junior high school.Based on Ordinary High School Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards(2020 Revised Edition)published by the Ministry of Education,this paper fully draws lessons from domestic and foreign theoretical achievements and practical experience of activity-based curriculum,adopts the methods of case study and questionnaire survey,and analyzes the prominent problems in the practices of activity-based curriculum of morality and rule of law in junior high school under the new curriculum standards,including unreasonable setting of activity goals,divorcing of activity situation from students’ actual life,simplex evaluation method,monotonous activity form and so on.Under the guidance of the new curriculum standards,the author carries out activity-based course for the teaching of Single-tone and Harmony in the second volume of Morality and the Rule of Law of Grade7,and displays a series of teaching links from activity design before class to classroom activity implementation,then to classroom assessment and reflection.In view of the practice status quo of the activity-based curriculum of morality and rule of law of junior high school,combined with specific teaching practices,this paper proposes the following strategies,aiming to optimize the practices of activity-based curriculum of morality and rule of law in junior high school under the new curriculum standards: to conduct teaching design with the value orientation of "Strengthen moral education and cultivate people";the activity structure should conform to the requirements of subject accomplishment;to focus on students to carry out activities and give full play to students’ subjectivity;to enhance the pluralism of teaching evaluation.These strategies attempt to provide a useful reference for the future practices of activity-based curriculum of morality and rule of law in junior high school.
