Rural teachers' professional development is an important part of teachers' professional development.The research on rural teachers' professional development is in line with the requirements of the times of "improving education quality and promoting education equity" and the demands of rural education practice.Existing researches are more related to difficult conditions,"can't attract" and "can't stay",focus more on group research in research objects,and mostly are investigation researches.There are few researches that really go deep into the professional development of front-line teachers,and even fewer into the excellent teachers who have grown up under the background of rural environment.A case study on the professional development of the senior mathematics teachers in rural junior middle schools can dig deep into the professional characteristics and personality qualities of the outstanding mathematics teachers who have grown up in rural junior middle schools,and analyze the influencing factors that promote their development,so as to bring some resonance and hope to teachers in similar environments,provide reference for the professional development of new young teachers in rural areas,and provide policy suggestions for the education authorities.In this study,the case study method is adopted,combining with specific interview,classroom observation,work analysis and qualitative analysis using Nvivo software.The case teacher and his colleagues and relatives are interviewed,his teaching situation is observed in the classroom,and his published papers and teaching reflections are collected and analyzed.On the basis of abundant first-hand information,the professional development of case teacher is investigated from two dimensions: vertical(development process)and horizontal(development performance)according to the professional standards of middle school teachers.Based on Nvivo software analysis,refine the personality characteristics and professional characteristics of case teacher's professional development;Using ERG theory and dialectical relationship between internal and external factors of materialist dialectics,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of promoting the professional development of case teacher.Through research,the following conclusions are drawn:1.As a special-grade teacher and senior teacher who grew up in rural junior high school,the professional development of the case teacher has gone through three stages:transformation and adaptation,exploration and accumulation,maturity and guidance.The professional development is manifested in advanced professional concepts and noble teachers' ethics;Solid professional knowledge,rich knowledge of mathematics and teaching;Outstanding professional ability,practical and efficient classroom teaching design and implementation,emphasis on cooperation and reflection,and excellent teaching results.At the same time,in the process of professional development,the case teacher has gradually formed the teaching style of "Four Movements Teaching" with the characteristics of mathematics.2.The case teacher shows distinct professional and personality characteristics in the process of professional development.His professional characteristics are good at teaching,willing to work,willing to study and diligent in reflection;His personality features are diligence,steadfastness,high efficiency,dedication and strict requirements.3.Among the many factors that affect the professional development of the case teacher,the internal factors play a fundamental role,mainly including persistent and strong interest in teaching,clear and definite career planning and personal qualities not afraid of hardship,etc.In particular,persistent and strong interest in teaching is the most important among internal factors,which is an important basis for all other internal factors to promote professional development.4.External factors are also important factors to promote the professional development of the case teacher,including key events and important figures,family,rural school environment,professional title evaluation policy,etc.Among them,key events and important figures play a vital role in the professional development of case teachers.Based on the above conclusions,this study proposes that to promote the professional development of rural teachers,we should base ourselves on the background of rural education.For teachers,we should love rural education,cultivate interest in teaching,mobilize self-motivation,formulate career development plans as soon as possible,actively participate in various teacher trainings,and be willing to study,reflect diligently,be good at writing and bear hardships in work and life.For schools and other educational functional departments,it is necessary to stimulate teachers' self-development awareness,increase professional development training,give play to the role of senior and senior teachers,build a development platform,create a positive atmosphere and advocate professional reading and writing.
