With the further advancement of curriculum reform, chemistry teaching is facing new opportunities and challenges.Teachers need to keep learning advanced educational concepts,so as to cultivate innovative talents with all-round development and both integrity and ability required by the development of the new era.As a new teaching mode,project-based learning is consistent with the new chemistry curriculum reform in its learning mode and teaching objectives. Therefore, this thesis aims to design and develop high school chemistry project-based learning teaching cases, and carry out case-based teaching practice,so as to explore the effectiveness of project-based learning applied to high school chemistry teaching.Through literature analysis, this thesis reviews the research status of project-based learning and chemistry project-based learning at home and abroad, and defines the concept of project-based learning on this basis.Under the guidance of constructivism learning, pragmatism education and multiple intelligences theory, the four principles of project-based learning applied in high school chemistry teaching are as follows: with real situation as the carrier, with student activity as the center, combining theory with practice, based on production oriented, chemistry discipline characteristic can be incorporated into the general project learning process, constructed to implement the "three stage, eight link" the operation of the high school chemistry project learning process,to develop "the sulfur dioxide around" and "home-made rice wine" two high school chemistry project-based learning case. The case based teaching practice is carried out with the sophomor students of a key high school in Nanjing as the research object. The effect of the case implementation is evaluated and analyzed through the students' self-evaluation form, written feedback and interview results.Research show that project-based learning can help students better understand and use knowledge, cultivate and develop students' comprehensive ability and subject core competency, and improve students' learning interest and self-efficacy.
