As a new form of bullying, cyberbullying has a huge impact on the mental and physical health of secondary vocational students who are not yet mature. In particular, previous studies lacked research on bystanders in cyberbullying by secondary vocational students. These bystanders exist in large numbers, and the actions they take after witnessing the bullying incident can influence the final direction of the entire bullying incident. There are three main types of bystander behaviors: promoting bullying behavior, helping the bullied behavior, and outside behavior.Among them, the promotion of bullying and outsider behavior are negative behaviors, and they will amplify the adverse effects of cyberbullying incidents. In order to further explore the factors that influence different individuals' bystander behaviors and prevent the occurrence of negative bystander behaviors in cyberbullying. This study selects the individual personality traits(empathy)as an independent variable, and the individual cognitive level(moral identity, moral disengagement)as an intermediary variable to explore the relationship between empathy and cyberbullying different bystanders, hoping to gain some inspirations on the intervention of cyberbullying from the perspective of onlookers. The research took 1259 secondary vocational students from a secondary vocational school in Anhui Province as the research object. The research took the cyberbullying/being bullied experience questionnaire, cyberbullying bystander behavior questionnaire, moral rejection questionnaire, adolescent moral self-identity questionnaire, and interpersonal reaction indicator scale as the research tool. The research first analyzes the status quo of bystander behavior in the cyberbullying situation of secondary vocational students,as well as the differences and characteristics of different bystander behaviors in demographic variables;secondly,it examines the predictive effects of empathy, moral disengagement, and moral identity on different bystander behaviors;and finally establishes the relationship model between moral disengagement, moral identity, empathy, and different bystander behaviors. The main results of the study are as follows:(1)In the past six months, the incidence of bystander cyberbullying among the secondary vocational students in the study was 66.08%;the incidence of cyberbullying was 14.54%;the incidence of cyberbullying was 28.44%;(2)Secondary vocational students ' empathy and moral identity negative prediction promote bullying and outside behavior, and positive prediction helps bullying behavior;positive prediction of moral rejection promotes bullying behavior and is significantly related to outside behavior;(3)Medium Moral disengagement and moral identity of vocational students have a parallel mediating role between empathy and promoting bullying;moral identity has mediating role between empathy and helping the bullied behavior, and moral disengagement has no significant mediating role between empathy and helping the bullied behavior;Secondary vocational students' moral disengagement has an intermediary effect between empathy and outsider behavior, and moral identity has an insignificant intermediary effect between empathy and outsider behavior. In summary, this study can draw the following conclusions: the cyberbullying bystander behavior of secondary vocational students is a phenomenon that cannot be ignored, and the cyberbullying bystander behavior of secondary vocational students is related to empathy, moral disengagement, and moral identity to a certain extent.Moral disengagement and moral identity have a parallel mediating effect between empathy and the promotion of bullying;empathy can indirectly predict individual help to be bullied through the mediating effect of moral identity, and moral disengagement does not mediate between empathy and help being bullied significantly;empathy can indirectly predict an individual extraneous behavior through the mediating effect of moral disengagement, and the mediating effect of moral identity between empathy and extraneous behavior is not significant.
