Primary school stage is the key period for the formation of students' personality and intelligence development.The teaching level of the school in this stage plays a vital role in the overall quality of students.Due to China's unbalanced current economic development level and large regional differences,there are still regional differences in education and teaching level.Compared with urban education,rural education is still weak in China.To develop rural education,the key is to train excellent rural teachers.Young rural teachers,as the backbone of the teaching team,their personal development and professional improvement play a very important role in the reform of rural education,the overall development of the school and the cultivation of students' quality.Under the circumstances,it is necessary to pay attention to the professional growth of young teachers in rural areas.This study mainly adopts the case study method.Based on the understanding of the personal growth and professional promotion of Teacher N through specific steps of interviews and observations,the characteristics and achievements of Teacher N's professional growth,as well as the influencing factors of each stage of his professional growth,are analyzed and summarized.The results show that: during the professional growth process of Teacher N,he gradually goes through induction period,winning tenure,proficiency period,and relative leading period;and formed a student-oriented education concept,a free and equal style of education,a scientific and effective class management skill and an in-depth professional reflection and summary ability.The external factors affecting Teacher N's professional development mainly include the support of national policies,school environment and relevant systems,the help of senior teachers and the relationship between teachers and students,etc.The internal factors mainly include Teacher N's professional identity,teaching knowledge and ability,his demand for self-growth,educational belief and concept,positive and optimistic attitude,and his personal goal of lifelong learning,etc.Combined with the professional growth process and affecting factors of Teacher N's professional development,this study suggests some ways to promote the professional sustainable development of the young teachers in rural elementary schools from the following aspects: from internal personal aspects: it is necessary for young teachers to improve their own professional identity management,pay attention to the mood,keep the habit of learning,reflection and practice,and keep thinking and innovating.In terms of external support,it is necessary to actively build a display platform for teachers,pay attention to high-quality training for them,optimize basic resources in rural areas,establish professional community,and reduce their non-teaching tasks.
