The national spirit is a spiritual bond based on excellent traditional culture that can be used to keep people of all ethnic groups living and working together.We have nurtured our great national spirit on the fertile soil of Chinese excellent traditional culture.It came from the glorious ancient Chinese culture,and has been honed in modern times and is growing continuously,which shows its strong vitality.The great spirit of the Chinese nation is a spirit that can be transformed into material force in the practice of socialism.It makes the Chinese nation more and more wealthy and constantly inspires it to be more powerful.In contemporary times,the spirit of the Chinese nation is still shining,and has highlighted its strong vitality and value in the fight against COVID-19 and the development of the Beidou satellite.Education not only needs to transfer knowledge,but also attach great importance to the all-round development of students and teach them to be a good man.Therefore,senior high schools pay special attention to moral education,and put the promotion and cultivation of the national spirit of senior high school students in the first place in moral education.Ideological and political classroom teaching in senior high school is the main battlefield of national spirit cultivation,which plays an important role.Cultural Life,the third compulsory political textbook,emphasizes the importance of promoting and cultivating national spirit.Based on the textbook "Cultural Life",this paper will carry out research and analyse the cultivation of high school students’ national spirit,which is mainly composed of four parts.The first part explains the theoretical content related to the cultivation of national spirit and national spirit in the compulsory third textbook cultural Life.After the explanation of relevant theoretical knowledge,further research and analysis is carried out.The content of explanation includes: the interpretation of concepts related to national spirit in Cultural Life,the connotation of our great national spirit and the cultivation of national spirit,and a series of theoretical knowledge related to the cultivation of national spirit in Cultural Life.In this paper,the author believes that the cultivation of high school students’ national spirit in Cultural Life is conducive to enhancing their cultural self-confidence,expand the thinking ability of senior high school students,strengthening their national identity and cultivating their national responsibility.The second part analyzes the teaching objectives and contents of the cultivation of national spirit in Cultural Life.In terms of teaching objectives,the teaching objectives of the cultivation of national spirit are mainly determined by core literacy,while the teaching contents are analyzed in combination with the relevant knowledge in cultural Life.The third part,on the basis of the teaching objectives and contents of the cultivation of national spirit in Cultural Life,analyzes and discusses the problems existing in the cultivation of national spirit in Cultural Life and the causes of these problems through questionnaire survey and interview.This paper argues that there are several problems in the cultivation of national spirit among senior high school students: the utilization rate of teaching resources is not high,single teaching methods,inadequate interaction between teachers and students in classes,students’ recognition of Chinese national spirit is not high and lack of practice.According to the problems,the following reasons are found: the role of schools has not been played effectively,the exam-oriented education puts too much attention to scores,the teaching design and teaching objectives are not coordinated,the teaching evaluation system is not perfect,students are not interested in learning.The fourth part explores the causes of the problems mentioned in the "cultural life" to strengthen the strategies of the national spirit cultivating high school students,this paper argues that the solutions to the problems are mainly from the following three aspects.First,schools should perfect the teaching evaluation system,strengthen the construction of the national spirit cultivating resources and enhance the importance of the national spirit cultivation.Second,teachers should carefully prepare the teaching design,improve the attraction of classes,use suitable teaching methods,arouse the high school students’ interest and constantly improve their comprehensive quality in the process of teaching and learning.Third,students should change their ideas and strengthen their cultural confidence.
