In recent years,a variety of campus violence, campus bullying incidents are frequently reported, campus management and student safety has become the most anxious thing for every student's parents. These adverse events are the concrete manifestation of students' aggressive behavior.Studying the present situation of junior high school students' aggressive behavior and putting forward reasonable intervention countermeasures are of great significance to promote the mental health level of middle school students, establish a healthy campus culture and ensure the normal teaching order on campus. Objective: To explore whether systematic basketball training would improve the aggressive behavior of junior high school boys or not. Methods: Questionnaires were used to investigate and analyze the aggressive tendencies of 300 male students in the first-grade and second-grade middle schools and other ordinary middle schools in Youxi County.A further intervention study was conducted among students who had a tendency to strike(more than or equal to 69 points).Thirty students with aggressive behavior in Youxi No.7 Middle School were divided into experimental group 1,experimental group 2 and control group(10 subjects in each group).Among them, experimental group 1 was instructed by teachers for two months of systematic and disciplined basketball training;experimental group 2 was independent for two months of after-class basketball training;another group as a control group,no extra-curricular basketball practice. The aggressive behavior scale was used to test the aggressive behavior of the subjects. The study found that:(1)About 17% of the junior middle school boys had moderate and severe aggressive behaviors, and 41.67% had mild aggressive behaviors. The proportion of junior middle school boys with attack tendency is 58.67%,which is universal.(2)Different school environment, grades, sexes, places of origin have certain effects on aggressive behavior of junior high school students. In different grade middle school, the scores of aggressive behavior of the students in the first-grade school are lower than those in the second-grade school, and the scores of the students in the second-grade school are lower than those in the ordinary school;in the survey of different student sources, the scores of aggressive behavior of the boys from rural areas are higher than those of urban students;in the gender differences, the scores of aggressive behavior of boys are higher than those of girls.Boys tend to be physically aggressive;girls tend to be indirect aggressive.(3)The scores of physical aggression, verbal aggression, indirect aggression, hostility and anger in experimental group 1 were significantly different before and after the test. The total score of aggressive behavior decreased from 75.9(+ 7.92)to 49.90(+ 2.81),and the improvement of aggressive behavior was better than that in experimental group 2.However,after basketball training, the aggressive behavior score of the experimental group 2 decreased slightly from 49.00(+ 2.91)to 61.50(+ 2.64),and the improvement was better than that of the control group. Therefore, systematic basketball training can improve the aggressive behavior of junior high school boys more effectively.
