Objective: Special physical fitness is an important factor affecting the level of basketball competition.Appropriate physical fitness training methods are the key to improving basketball skills.It is very necessary to explore the impact of strengthening core strength training on youth basketball skills.It can provide reference for young people to implement scientific training and improve their sports level.Methods: In order to study the relationship between mastering core strength and youth basketball training,on the basis of referring to relevant literature for theoretical research,the basketball varsity team members of Shangsha Middle School were selected as experimental objects.The method of the experimental group is a combination of core strength training and special strength training,while the control group used basketball special strength training methods for 16 weeks,3 times per week,and the exercise target heart rate was controlled at 120-150 times/min.The related indicators of special skills of basketball,actual combat skills,physical fitness,core strength and body shape were observed before and after the experiment,and the related indicators were statistically processed by Excel and SPSS software.Experimental results:1.The data showed that the basketball specific skill index of the experimental group after the experiment was better than that before the experiment(P<0.05 or P<0.01),except for fixed-point shooting,other indicators were better than the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01),however,after the experiment,the fixed-point shooting,defensive sliding,and multi-point comprehensive passing and receiving of the control group showing a better performance than those before the experiment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the 1-min timed jump shot and its hit rate,and half-court dribbling and layup.2.The performance of actual basketball skills in the experimental group after the experiment was significantly better than before the experiment(P<0.01),and better than that in the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The actual basketball skills index of the control group did not improve significantly after the experiment.3.Except for 1min double-shake rope skipping,the physical fitness index of the experimental group data showed that its was better than that before the experiment(P<0.05 or P<0.01),and the 50-meter run,1000-meter run,and balance stand were better than those of the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01),as for the control group,except for 50 m running and 1min double-shake rope skipping,other physical fitness indicators were better than those before the experiment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).As for the core strength test indicators of the experimental group,the results showed that the students after the experiment were significantly better than those before the experiment(P<0.01),and also better than the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).In the control group,only the seven-level back bridge index after the experiment was better than before the experiment(P<0.01).5.After the experiment,the body weight and chest circumference of the experimental group were better than those before the experiment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the body shape indicators after the experiment compared with before the experiment.Conclusion:1.The core strength training improves the accuracy and stability of shooting,dribbling,passing and catching of the experimental group students,making their technical movements more coordinated and standardized,thereby improving the special skills of basketball.2.Core strength training can well promote and improve students’ physical confrontation ability,comprehensively improve physical fitness,deeply stabilize the strength of small muscle groups,coordinate body movement posture,provide support and control in rapid movement,and better display basketball skills.3.Core strength training plays an important role in improving students’ physical fitness such as balance,speed,endurance and coordination,and provides physical power for the development of basketball skills.4.Core strength training can activate and enhance deep stable strength of small muscle groups,make up for the lack of training effects in special strength training,and comprehensively improve the muscle strength of students in the core area.5.Core strength training can effectively improve students’ physical shape and make them more suitable for participating in basketball sports.
