Textbooks play an important role in teaching.The use of teaching materials by teachers affects the development of teaching materials.Therefore,the use of teaching materials by teachers has attracted more and more researchers’ attention,but only a few studies have studied the use of teaching materials by teachers from the perspective of comparison between novice teachers and excellent teachers,especially the use of teaching materials by novice teachers and excellent teachers in primary school Chinese.Novice to find out the primary school Chinese teachers and excellent teachers in teaching material use similarities and not electricity,particularly sorted out the gap between novice teachers and excellent teachers,to promote novice teacher’s professional development on Chinese,this study with L Q city elementary school five novice teachers and five excellent teachers as the research object,compare the use of textbooks by the two types of teachers.This study mainly collects data through classroom observation and interview survey,and reveals the similarities and differences in textbook use between Chinese novices and excellent teachers through data analysis.First of all,through classroom observation and after-class interview,the three classes taught by 6 teachers(3 novice teachers and 3 excellent teachers)in L Primary School were analyzed to understand the actual use of teaching materials by teachers in classroom teaching.Then,interviews were conducted with 10 teachers(5 novice teachers and 5 excellent teachers)to deeply understand the use of textbooks by novice teachers and excellent teachers,their beliefs behind the use of textbooks and the factors influencing factors of textbook use.Finally,according to the classroom observation and interview survey results,the conclusion of the study is drawn and suggestions are put forward.Finally,on the basis of classroom observation and interview survey results,conclusions are drawn and suggestions are put forward.This study found that although novice Chinese teachers and excellent teachers in primary schools have common ground in the use of textbooks,the differences between them are more prominent.There are altogether six differences:(1)Novice teachers cannot fully realize the guiding significance of curriculum standards when using textbooks,while excellent teachers attach importance to the role of curriculum standards and refer to the concepts and suggestions in Chinese curriculum standards to understand and use textbooks.(2)Novice teachers have limited understanding and grasp of the overall structure of the textbook,while excellent teachers can fully grasp the overall structure of the textbook and apply it to practical teaching.(3)Novice teachers do not fully understand the use of each part of the textbook and ignore the role of“unit leads”and“exercises after class” in the textbook in teaching,while excellent teachers can well understand and play the role of each part of the textbook.(4)In terms of the interpretation and integration of the textbook,novice teachers tend to copy the textbook and lack the awareness of interpretation and integration,while excellent teachers have their own understanding of the textbook and have stronger ability to interpret and integrate the textbook.(5)Novice teachers can find general value in the value mining of the textbook content,but the potential value mining is not as deep as excellent teachers.(6)Novice teachers are more dependent on textbook supporting resources,and excellent teachers are more active and flexible in developing and utilizing curriculum resources.In general,there are three main problems in the use of textbooks by novice teachers:First,they do not have a deep understanding of Chinese curriculum standards,the overall structure of textbooks and the contents of various parts of textbooks;Second,the lack of interpretation and integration of the content of the teaching material depends too much on the content and ideas in the teaching material and supporting resources;Third,there is still room to improve the ability to explore the potential value of teaching materials.According to the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward three suggestions for novice teachers,in order to improve their professional growth and their ability to use textbooks.Specific suggestions are as follows:(1)Thoroughly study textbooks and Chinese curriculum standards,add the overall structure of textbooks,contents of all parts of textbooks and Chinese curriculum standards into the school’s assessment system,conduct regular assessment of novice teachers,and promote their research on textbooks and Chinese curriculum standards.(2)In class to understand students,mobilize the enthusiasm of students.(3)Conduct corresponding training on the use of teaching materials for novice teachers to promote their professional development. |
