Professional development of teacher has become the focus of educational reform. On theaffective education under the new course innovation, numerously Chinese excellent teachershave appeared in China. The mature of Chinese teachers in primary school is an importantcomponent of teacher professional development. The thesis focuses on professionaldevelopment of Chinese excellent teachers in primary school.The thesis consists of five parts:The first part: introduction. It points out the subject of this study, and introduces theobject of study, the methods and steps. At last, it discusses the significance of the study.The second part: basic theory research. It analysis and sum up the literature of thedomestic and foreign scholars on the excellent teachers and expert-teachers research. Itcritically assimilates these achievements. Many scholars and teachers have taken Dou Guimeias an object and finished a study in various ways. It also collects and statistics these literatureand work.The third part: a case study. Dou Guimei has put forward the theory of languageeducation——“Beyond the three” and “the theme of teaching” since2001. The process whichis from “Beyond the three” to “The theme of teaching” is the language teaching reforms ofDou Guimei’s process which has experienced from “beyond the traditional” to “returning tothe traditional”, it also means that the language education in primary schools has experiencedfrom “beyond the traditional” to “returning to the traditional” since the new century: Thelanguage teaching reforms Dou Guimei’s process is the epitome of the new curriculum reformin primary language which has experienced from “beyond the traditional” to “returning to thetraditional”. Dou Guimei has found the ways which solve the problem of the new curriculumreform in primary language by her efforts that will be good to the language teachers.Above all, it illustrates horizontally how Dou Guimei to hold such a rich fund ofknowledge, high quality teaching and clear-cut educational proposition, and gives anobjective description of her real professional life. Secondly, how she has grown. In this study,it classifies the process into four historical stages: embryonic stage, cumulative stage,maturity stage and creating stage. Finally, it has a profound and brilliant exposition throughdistilling crucial points and matters in Dou Guimei`s process of growth.The forth part: mature-law study. On the basis of case-study, it summarize disciplinarianand absorb experience of excellent Chinese teachers professional development, which canprovide other teachers reference to grow and develop. Explaining on the specialty attainmentsthat Chinese teachers should attain. Include: education and instruction faith, specialty knowledge, specialty abilities, education and instruction experience and teacher self-specialtydevelopment consciousness.The fifth part: conclusion. It shows the growing pattern of teacher: learn-practice-create.Specialty knowledge, teaching experience and researching creative are the important actors inteacher’s growth process. Among three positions, it is a dynamic process going forwardcircularly and spirally. And it also put forward two tentative suggestions for young teachers.In conclusion, the thesis taking Dou Guimei as a case, research excellent teacherprofessional development from subject. It can play an active role in implementing the newcurriculum.
