With the revision of curriculum standard and the in-depth promotion of education and teaching reform,it has become one of the important tasks for educators to cultivate students' core literacy and necessary ability.And the innovative application of educational model has promoted the implementation of this new concept of education.Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E is a new teaching mode under the background of education reform.Problem String Teaching refers to a teaching method that takes problems as the main line of knowledge throughout the whole teaching process,and students learn knowledge by solving problems and building knowledge system.The "5E" is the abbreviation of Engage,Explore,Explain,Extend and Evaluate.That is,Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E is the teaching mode of setting problems in some steps of the five teaching links of engaging,exploring,explaining,extending and evaluating during classroom teaching practice and research.It can not only help with the understanding of chemical concepts and scientific essence,but also play an important role in cultivating students' ability to think and analyze problems independently,which can lay a foundation for the development of students' core literacy of chemistry.The Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E is constructed by the author after the relevant theoretical analysis.Combined with the elaboration of teaching process and the analysis of teaching strategies,three teaching cases,namely,"redox reaction","sodium oxide and sodium peroxide" and "chlorine and its compounds",were designed and applied in classroom practice research.And the following conclusions were obtained based on the results of questionnaire survey,performance test and after-school interview:(1)The Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E can solve the problem of inattentiveness in traditional classroom system,stimulate students' interest in learning and improve their participation in class.(2)The Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E plays an obvious role in improving the experimental inquiry ability,analytical and problem solving skills,as well as language expression and building knowledge system skills.(3)The Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E plays an obvious role in cultivating students' chemical core literacy such as "macro identification and micro analysis","evidence reasoning and model cognition" and "scientific inquiry and innovation consciousness".(4)Teachers and students have high approval on the Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E.The innovation of this study is that the Problem Series Teaching Mode based on 5E plays a significant role in promoting students' positive thinking and improving their ability to analyze and solve problems.At the same time,it can provide help for cultivating students' core literacy of chemistry and provide reference for the new curriculum reform of high school chemistry teaching.
